Ordered the BBQ chick’n burger and fried artichoke along with extra sauces. Sauces were on point and oh-so delectable. Artichoke was the highlight of my meal so be sure not to miss out! Burger was a little dry (could’ve used more sauce) but still tasty; bun was round and ciabatta-like and would’ve been better had it been buttered/griddled to offset some of the dryness.
We popped in for a late lunch to this new all-vegan location off of Willy Street. Was very pleased with all my food choices - we shared the loaded fries as an app and I had the Desert Cottontail while my husband had the Freaky Kouneli. The burgers were tasty and flavorful and the loaded fries were a star. Will definitely be coming back! Glad to have another vegan place to choose from!
Really want this place to succeed. However, was disappointed that this, as a vegan burger place, does not make their own burgers and has Beyond Meat. The SW salad was underwhelming in contents, but the sauce was very good - which salvaged the review. The flatbread was good, but lacked toppings in general. And I assume the flatbread base was bought and not made in house. The tofu wrap was tasty but this was largely due to the ranch sauce. The staff did not seem familiar with the menu and could have room for improvements.
Friendly owners, all plant-based menu. Relies a bit on fake meat but also has tofu as an option. 7 weeks old, so if you want plant based restaurants in Madison, eat here and support them. My buffalo chik’n sandwich was very tasty. Very high quality limited beer selection.
Brother… this place smacks. Went there with two different groups of friends in one week and had no problem double dipping. The chicken sandwiches are the one. Zero complaints about the fries.
Vegan/Vegetarian restaurant with some fun twist! As someone who’s not a vegan this place was pretty tasty! Here’s what we got and would recommended! Apps: 1) BUNNY-LESS BALLS deep fried sushi rice, panko, housemade, cashew cheez, lemon herb sauce. 2) FEATURE: Buffalo Tofu Fries - sauce and tofu was great! Buffalo had a good tangy smooth flavor. Entrees: 1) THE DESERT COTTONTAIL chipotle pesto, smokehouse mushrooms, blistered serrano peppers, lettuce, housemade cashew cheez, Stalzy's bun. 2) BUFFALO CHIK'N fried chik'n, buffalo sauce, lettuce, diced celery, ranch, Stalzy's bun. Overall good food, personally for me the bun was a lot - but I feel most would enjoy the bun! I plan to come back and try their flatbreads but the apps, burger and sandwich is a certain try. Dietary restrictions: Vegan
Highly recommend the Bunnyless Balls as an app. I had the burger with Serrano pepper on it and really enjoyed it. I liked that they use Stalzy buns. The fries that came with my burger were crispy and hot.
Awesome spot for plant based dining. The bunny-less balls were amazing. The sauces all tasted like they’re made in house and the texture of the “chicken” was spot on. Was our first visit and won’t be our last. Vegetarian options: All plant based.
The burgers and fries were good. But the southwest salad was falsely advertised. It was a large bowl of lettuce with rotten pieces, and the other ingredients were minimal, like only a few pieces of corn a black beans. They kindly took the salad back and offered to replace it. We were also given a dirty glass with lipstick on it, which they did replace but don’t offer straws. We recommend coming for the burgers and loaded fries but not the salads, which is confusing at a plant based restaurant. You also have to pay in advance for food and service that may be subpar.
