I shop almost everyday at the store and the cashiers have always been so nice to me especially David and Feranmi. Keep up the good work guys!

Nice to have a store in the area but at these prices I can't see myself shopping here often... Often see meats that are set to expire the next day with no discounts or only 30% off. Why not mark it 50% off and save it from the landfill?... As a positive, the store is very clean/organized and the deli meats are great.

I first thought about giving it "2 Stars" but that is equivalent to 40%, and that seems like too much. Even though this looks like a big, full-size grocery store from the outside - it is very small and cramped inside. The isles seem narrow. They have a reduced selection of items compared to every other grocery store around. They do not seem to bake regular bread on a regular basis here. There is only shelf space for 4 loaves of 100% and White bread each of the "baked in store" stuff. It's actually difficult to find the bakery area, because it's so tiny compared to other stores, and it's tucked away in the corner. Every isle only has what seems like half the selection you would expect of each type of product. This is definitely a "mini version" of a Your Independent Grocer...so at least it should be convenient and well run...right? As another reviewer mentioned, they do not seem to re-stock their milk. I bought the last of a fairly common dairy item that they had in stock, and then I returned a week later and they have not re-stocked it. One more thing - even though the store has been open for at least a couple weeks now, there is no proper way to actually drive there. The only way is a back street that is still under construction, and there is a huge sharp trench that you have to drive through to come or go. There is an "exit only" type of driveway going North onto McOrmond drive out of their parking lot, but the problem is that almost nobody is travelling in that direction when leaving this store. So you have to bang the heck out of your car, possibly, to drive through that ditch out back. This place takes up the space of a full-size grocery store and parking lot - but it is very small inside and offers a lot less than other stores.

PS: updated review. Store opens at 7 AM. I went there at 8:30 this past weekend, and majority of the produce isles were either empty or w/o fresh stuff (photo attached). If you open at 7 for customers make sure you are ready for them. Save on foods can teach you something. They are open at 7 too and their isles are always stacked. I went back there yesterday to buy milk and guess what that's another disaster. 90% of the milk had oy 1 day left to expire and we're on 50% off sale! I found a couple of jugs where the expiry date is this Thursday the 4th of April! You are kidding right !? Second week and already this! I am hoping that this is going to get better. And I am willing to change my review once I see the betterment. I was glad to see a grocery store near my home. No need to go to university Heights mall any more. It's spacious, clean and huge choice of foods. They opened yesterday so still many good deals. It's part of superstore so prices are comparable to them. New employees were helpful and friendly. Produce was fresh, ample hot and cold to go food. Loved it. If I have to pick anything bad, I wish the self check out tills were bigger to accommodate all purchased items.

Very pleasantly surprised by the new Independent Foods in Evergreen/Aspen Ridge, Saskatoon. Never been a fan of Independence or Superstore but this store is beautiful! So well stocked with such a variety of foods - all the regular needs and lots of unique and local foods. Plan to do my grocery shopping there from now on.
