The food was delicious. My family and I went on a vacation in LA and we love it! The drink tasted awesome! We went to eat there 2 times! It’s right inside the Fairmont hotel.

Lumière and the whole Fairmont Century Plaza are such hidden gems! More people should know how great the entire property is... I visited for drinks and food with good friends for my birthday on 12/14 and had the most wonderful, elegant time. Huge kudos and special shout-out to Fairmont Gold concierge/reception ace Todd who went way out of his way to make sure I had a terrific time. Thank you, Todd! Vegetarian options: Enjoyed the cheese croquettes during happy hour!

It's a truly beautiful restaurant - that's the only good thing about it. Service was poor as our waiter was MIA most of the time and never checked in to see if our food was okay. It wasn't - we would've sent half of it back had he asked! Maybe that's why he didn't ask... There was no other wait staff around either, we felt eerily abandoned. The food took almost an hour to even make it to the table. The presentation looked nice. In fact, the chef must care more about the looks of the food than the taste. The wedge salad was tasteless as the blue cheese was missing (according to 2 people in our party). I had the pistachio and pear salad that was kinda good but it was practically swimming in very tangy dressing. Just way too much dressing, otherwise would've been pretty good. Our preteen ordered black squid pasta. He was starving by the time the food finally came and excited to eat. However, he claimed after the first bite that it's too spicy and he can't eat it. I tasted it, my husband tasted it, our friends took a bite - the kid was right, it was extremely spicy, the kind where the heat hits you a couple of seconds later. Not edible, especially not for a child. Neither the menu nor the waiter said anything about this being a spicy dish. 2 people in our group had the duck. Both said it was terrible and ate only a few bites. My husband had the fish - tiny and bland. I had the mushroom gratin - it looked fancy (although appetizer size) but tasted like mush. No flavor, no texture. Reminded me of baby food. Only the friend who ordered the basic chicken dish finished her food (and shared it with our hungry child) - her feedback on it was "nothing special but not bad". Even the tiramisu tasted like a defrosted slice from a supermarket freezer section. It was the most disappointing birthday dinner we've ever experienced. For the prices they charge the quality of food is really not up to par. Normally I'd wonder if we perhaps went there when the chef had a day off or something else out of the norm happened this one time only, but considering this gorgeous restaurant that should be a hot spot was practically empty on the Saturday evening we were there (10/29) it makes me think that we were not their first disappointed customers. As the final insult, Valet costs $15 (with validation) and it took half an hour before they finally found our car. (Mind you, it's not like they were busy or anything.)

Robert, our waiter, was exceptional. He made our evening extra special and it wouldn’t have been the same if he wasn’t our server for the evening. We came for dinner and everything was amazing. Escargot, fantastic. Braised pork, outstanding. Even the warm bread and butter was one of the best I’ve had. Robert went above and beyond for our dinner and made our night out even more special. When we come back, we’ll be sure to request Robert. The entire staff, even the valets, are exceptional at what they do. If you want a 5-star dining experience, this is the place to be.

This is the restaurant in the newly renovated Century Plaza Hotel. Although it's difficult to find, because the signage is still being installed, the experience will not disappoint! The food is well prepared, clean, fresh and delicious. Service is impeccable and friendly, not stiff.

Menu offerings can easily appease a steak and seafood appetite. Had many items from the seafood tower to duck to the chateaubriand to desserts. All were satisfying and prepped well. Staff is very courteous.
