Tasty, comfortable, with good service and atmosphere.
From beginning to end, our experience at Lulu was truly extraordinary. Alice Waters has made an exceptional contribution to Los Angeles through her restaurant in the Armand Hammer Museum courtyard. Dietary restrictions: As with most very fine restaurants, the chef was able to accommodate my wife's dietary restrictions without compromising on the gastronomic experience.
Wonderful ambience and great food and service in a unique setting. Our server Karen suggested some dishes we shared included a great fried artichoke salad and the mixed lettuce salad was dressed to perfection. The fettucine dish with beef and pork was prepared with a lovely bolognese sauce and great pasta. Also highly recommend the stemple creek ranch steak which was cooked to perfection and enjoyed the sides of onion rings and potatoes. The drink menu is inventive and highly recommend the gimlet.
Small portions and big prices are the theme. $6 for a small heel of stale sourdough. Remember the old days when bread was free? 18% service charge automatically added to bill. Of course there's also a line for optional gratuity. Service was good. But overall way way overpriced and forgetable. Much better options are available in Westwood village.
