Sadly Luigi's seems to be having challenges these days. Last time I dined in everything was slow and a few tables stayed un bussed for quite awhile. I came in this evening. While waiting to be seated I was looking around to see how busy it was/what tables were open. Little busy but there was more un-bussed tables than current customers. I turned around and left. Seems very un-organized these days.
We have been going to Luigi for dine-in and take out for a while now. This is a tasty pizzeria... Even though their menu is not large, the pizzas are yummy. We especially like "The Goods" and the "baked mac n cheese"... Garlic bread is also yummy... Vegetarian options: The goods Mac n cheese Garlic cheese bread
Employee took and confirmed a reservation on the phone, but we showed up at the expected time to be told that they don't take reservations and that it would be at least a 90 minute wait. We left disappointed and went back another day. The double dough pizza was very good.
This Monday at around 5pm, I picked up carry out pizza for a friend. I ordered online and followed the instructions to pull into a numbered stall and text a given number for someone to run the food out to my car. After 10 minutes I started to wonder what was going on. 15 minutes in, I went inside. I told the person at the counter that I had texted the number, as instructed, 15 minutes ago (after I received confirmation that my food was ready). She nonchalantly said "oh, that number doesn't always work." She did not apologize. It was not busy and there were 3 staff members behind the counter. She asked a co-worker to put something in my order and the co-worker did not hear her because she was looking at her cellphone, totally engrossed. She also had in one headphone. "Earth to [name]" said the first worker. The one with the phone finally noticed she was being talked to and said "I had to text him back." I finally got my at this point lukewarm pizza and left, resenting the tip I had left upon ordering online. I can't speak to the food quality because I didn't eat any of the pizza, but the service was yikes and leaves me uninterested in going back to try the food.
I don’t usually write reviews but my experience at Luigi’s was amazing! We absolutely loved the racket and the Maximus! I’d also definitely recommend the garlic cheese bread. Service and atmosphere were also great! 10/10 Vegetarian options: Tons of vegan, gluten free, and vegetarian options!
I was truly disappointed this time. Have been to Luigi’s multiple times and each time the food and service get worse. The service was excruciating challenging. We had to ask for everything. It was really odd that I had to go the counter at least 3 times to get salt, parm cheese, napkins, extra sauce for pizza rolls, and soda refills. How do you go to an Italian restaurant that serves pizza and pasta and they only have one small packet of Parmesan cheese left in the entire store??? Pizza was terrible this time. All 3 pizzas were undercooked and tasted real blah. Not sure if we will go back.
