When I was in middle school I would always see this place and be curious but never tried it until 8 years later. Seeing that its going out of business soon makes me sad cause I wish I tried this place so much sooner. The staff is friendly and the got quick service and nice coffee. Kid-friendliness: Welcoming environment Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of room in the space to move comfortably
Awesome place and very helpful staff. Highly recommend. Also great comedy evenings here!
I'm a cyclist and former bike wrench. I've known a lot of people who've worked here, and as far as I know, wrenching here is top notch. However, this place utterly fails as a cafe. Taking the idea from Thailand of having a bicycle cafe in what used to be the edge of Chinatown in what used to be a seamstress and sweatshop building, Lucky Duck has a good run as an LBS (local bike shop) but not as a place for a cup of coffee. Went here for the first time and never came back in summer 22. Ordered two coffees with a friend and waited forever. The three, yes, three batistas of the snooty, punk vegan variety, took forever. And grunted when we asked for, gasp!, milk, real milk, not vegan nut fluff milk. And guess what? They were out of milk! A cafe without milk? Are you kidding me? In addition, no wrench was working or manning the rear bike shop. So I just whistled and browsed at cool stuff, I'd wish I could buy, but then why bother after being berated for milk!?? I should've listened to my gut when trying out a place in gentrified New Chinatown.
Solid coffee and bagels, but menu a bit limited and can be improved, so 4 stars and not 5. Service is no bs and genuine, super chill atmosphere and vibes. Vegetarian options: Decent vegan bagel, alt milks available.
A great place to come to for coffee, drinks, alcohol, snacks, meals, bike accessories, bike repairs and so on. They have a single occupancy restroom that requires no steps. They also have bike storage inside for when you’re enjoying your coffee.
Great staff, low key place to work and I’m sure fun if you’re into bikes. Got a yummy cardamom latte
