I wouldn't buy fresh seafood here (the counter is often closed and I've found the quality is variable). Nice for some items when they are on sale (they can have great deals), but for feeling like a budget grocery store, the prices can be surprisingly high. Also, there are often not enough cashiers. If you are buying alcohol, you can't use self checkout and may need to wait a bit. Better off going to trader joe's which is nearby if you are looking for a good deal or Gus's if you are looking for good quality. They do sell a few things that are hard to find elsewhere, such as dry ice or a large selection of non healthy snacks foods.

Used to have lower prices but now they're extra high. Just paid $5 for a $3 jar of pasta sauce elsewhere. The Luckys chain got bought by private equity in 2022 so expect prices to keep going up. Oh and the self checkout often scans prices wrong, always in the store favor. Doesn't apply the yellow sale sticker prices, they claim it's an "error" but it happens constantly. Seems like a store scam tbh. The freezer cases don't freeze well so wouldn't recommend buying any frozen food with meat in it. Also usually 1-3 out of 5 self checkouts are out of order. Annoying amount of shoplifting and panhandling right out the entry door. Employees are nice though. Even less useful now that they closed the pharmacy. Maybe it was a lot nicer 10 years ago, I can't believe this store is averaging 4 stars.

Poor service from the General manager on Thanksgiving afternoon. Go to another grocery store for your Holiday needs.

Love this Lucky's but I bought a half of Apple Crumble Pie and it was horrible, the crust and crumble was soggy and the apple filling tasted like refrigerator or freezer.

I’ve noticed on my debit card I was charged an amount that is not correct. I purchased a package of pork chops for $7.42 a small container of milk for $1.99 and 2 bananas. My debit card was deducted $52.00 and I know better than that. I’ve filed a complaint and I hope they get it right. This don’t make any sense to the dumbest bear! Can I have this issue resolved

Margie at the checkout at 12 noon is very nice. She has a friendly attitude and is always helpful with doing an override when the machine doesn’t work. Wish the Lakeshore store has employees like her, maybe I wouldn’t be so aggravated every time I shop there. Thanks Margie. You are a diamond in the sand. She exemplifies a model team member. Lucky is privileged to have her on their team. 9-15-23 at 1:25 PM the self check out clerk, heavy set with black hair and braid pushed to her side, around 30ish, wore a black shirt, Caucasian, told me I can get a reincheck tomorrow. I returned next day at 11:40 AM, 9-16-23 the same fat self check out clerk denied me the reincheck for the Perrono sauce. Bad customer service. Don’t jerk me around telling me to return the next day! You need to keep your word and follow through with your commitment. This store sucks just as bad as the Lakeshore one. You lose credibility when you don’t keep your word and promise. We’re not here for you to jerk us around! I used to have a high regard and respect for this store. Since this experience, my high regard for this store has gone down the toilet bowl. The team needs to be retrained in good customer service which includes KEEPING YOUR WORD and following through what you say you will do! I know Peet’s Coffee did. They promised me the free anniversary coffee. The next day I called back and they gave it to me and they no longer give free coffees just points but since they promised me the previous day, they kept their word. Maybe this store should model after Peet’s Coffee, then maybe they’ll get positive reviews!!! This store’s team and mgr. are unprofessional.

I come here to shop with my family. But a worker there really hurt my feelings. I have mental health issues. I have severe anxiety, PTSD. I haven't been out in public in a while in the neighborhood (cause I have anxiety) so my husband does the shopping with our daughter, and this worker just assumes I'm not with my husband anymore. She was flirting with him and assumed him and I are no longer together. He even told me she said "Why don't you look for a girlfriend? You need someone!" And my husband explained that I am going through some things and we're still together. Then a couple days later, I felt better so I go with my family to Lucky's. Then the same worker comes up to me and says "Wow you lost weight. What are you doing with yourself" "Look at your husband he's great, what's wrong with you?" She also has this plastic smile and looked down at my baby in the stroller and said "Oh your mad at your mommy? Yeah! Your mad at mommy". She just assumed things in her head. Then She looked at me and rolled her eyes and looked at my husband and smiled. I got so mad, I wanted to go back and punch her in the face, but I didn't even though She really hurt my feelings. When my family and I left the store, I told my husband what that lady said to me and how it affected me. So he came back two hours later to get food we forgot to get, and told the worker "You really hurt my wife's feelings." The worker then says "Oh you guys are back together? Why?" So my Husband says "We never broke up. She's my wife and I love her. If you don't have nothing nice to say to her, don't say it at all." I didn't want to say anything mean back to her, cause I don't know what she's going through. So I decided to be the bigger person and just let it go.....and vent on the reviews lol I thought this worker was nice at first. Cause we spoke Tagalog (Filipino language) to each other at times. Other than this lady hurting my feelings and making me cry, this store is great! It's in a great neighborhood! And the workers are nice and understanding ---Besides her.
