Anelle and Alex were absolutely brilliant. Hands down the best restaurant we have been to, ever. Our tasting menu was perfectly matched to our preferences, and each dish exceeded expectations! I cannot recommend Lucciola enough!!

On my journey through New York City, Lucciola in the Upper West Side captured my heart. The restaurant's No Menu Tasting Menu, paired with carefully selected wines, represents the best of Italian dining, offering great value for those seeking an authentic experience. Chef Michele Casadei Massari's talent is unmatched, making every dish a culinary masterpiece. For anyone exploring NYC and craving the essence of Italy, Lucciola is a must-visit destination that promises an unforgettable Italian culinary adventure. Excellentes italienisches Essen auf höchstem Niveau. Leider wurden die Gänge zu schnell hintereinander serviert. Ansonsten top.

First, the food is exceptionally good and the service definitely does a great job at trying to match. We went with a six course meal at 8pm on a Saturday designed by the chef in order to meet an 11PM showing. We wanted to go with the 9 course but it was estimated to be a 3 to 3 and a half hour experience which I understand but couldn’t wait that long. 6 courses made us full enough however and it was truly a delectable tour of pasta, risotto and lasagna. The risotto IMO took the cake of all the dishes, it was absolutely divine and a sensory explosion for the pallet. Highly recommended. We were afforded the opportunity to eat several desserts due to our anniversary and I normally don’t eat dessert too much but each one was just as much a culinary adventure. Ask for the chocolate Rubik’s cube! Second, it was our fifth wedding anniversary and intended to spend more than usual. Our normal go to for this type of occasion is usually high end omakase or Italian which Lucciola matched price wise. It was an expensive tasting menu which included an automatic 20% gratuity. I took a star off because of this as I thought the service was good but not spectacular. The waitress was extremely nice and we were grateful for the efforts across the entire wait staff but I recall the other waitress and servers being much more attentive than our tables waitress. I was probably closer to 18% personally and thought the auto gratuity was not justified. Other than the cost the food, servings from course to course was very long and to not have complimentary bread or something to that effect is a huge miss IMO also. I understand waiting but the portions are smaller and 15 minutes per course is a long wait between meals. Lastly, I don’t want to take away from a wonderful dining experience as the food is as advertised if not better. It’s hands down one of the best Italian meals I’ve ever had in NYC. The service staff was great but did not set my expectations when paying for a high end meal. I will be visiting again soon but will probably opt for a la carte dining instead after trying the chefs menu.

While visiting New York City, I had the pleasure of dining at Lucciola Italian Restaurant, located in the Upper West Side. This establishment isn't just about serving food; it's about delivering an authentic Italian cuisine experience that's hard to find elsewhere in NYC. The No Menu Tasting Menu, paired with an exquisite selection of wines, offers unparalleled value for money. Chef Michele Casadei Massari is a true artisan, whose talent in crafting handmade pasta and bringing Bologna's traditional dishes to life is simply astounding. For anyone looking for the best Italian in NYC, Lucciola is a culinary treasure waiting to be discovered.. Lets just start with Anelle! She is AMAZING. She made our night 10 times better, and was super friendly and welcoming from the beginning, guiding us through the menu and much more. In addition to that food was incredible, six courae of pure flavor! Really happy that in my short trip to NYC I made some time to stop at Lucciola. For sure a must come back
