It’s fine, good pizza, but you’re in NYC—there are other options that you won’t wait nearly as long for and are just as good (Juliana’s, L’Industrie, DiFara, Joe’s)

Fantastic pizza, some of the best in all of NYC! A few things to know: - The pizza is fantastic (thin crust, delicious sauce, and just the right amount of cheese). Lives up to it's reputation of being fantastic. - The menu is simple (pizza and calzones). - Restaurant is cash only and BYOB. - I went on a Wednesday and had to put my name down at 7PM to get in at 10PM (still worth it for the pizza) - We ordered a few items that were forgotten (and we needed to remind the waitress), but they were gracious and brought them out. Overall good experience with the staff and host! Would come again if we can squeeze in!

We waited an hour to get the reservation. In my opinion it was worth it. Staff was kind and had good hospitality. The pizza was great!!! You get what you put out into the world people. Be a kind and gracious customer and you will usually receive the same back. Thank you Lucali staff. We had a lovely meal

Pizza was deffo worth the hype and even the 2hr wait in the freezing cold. But the service was rough. The offer of a hot drink or local recommendation while we waited would have been nice. But I guess they don't have to.

The pizza at this place was worth the long wait. I had a chance to compare it with another famous pizza place in Brooklyn (Luigi’s). The crust at this place was superior, as it was made from high-quality bread. Although Luigi’s was also very good. My family has a long tradition owning bakeries in West London, so I know good bread when I taste it. The sauce at this place was decent, but the other place had more flavour. The basil leaves were whole, which looked nice, but I would have preferred them chopped and spread on the pizza. Next time, I might try a different topping. One thing that disappointed me was that the owner of this place was not there to greet his customers. The owner of the other place, on the other hand, was very friendly and chatty. He cooked my pizza himself and told me his story. I appreciated his personal touch. This place had a cool BYOB policy, which made the experience more fun. The service was also excellent. Overall, I enjoyed the pizza at this place and I would recommend it.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in NYC. Called around 9:15 and was able to get on the waitlist for 10, after running over 20 minutes late they held our table with no issue. The service was phenomenal. All the staff were friendly, attentive and gave great recommendations. The owner was very friendly and took the time to stop by our table to ask how everything was. The food was amazing, best calzones around. The plain marg pizza was one of the best I’ve ever had. The tomato sauce is really what sets it apart from the rest. Will without a doubt be going out of the way to come here anytime I’m in the city!
