Luby's

Very nice Luby's. Not that any of them aren't actually. Our server was exceptionally nice, as we're all the men and women on the line dishing put the food. This is where this Luby's shined. Very very very friendly people not upset they were working, but genuinely pleasant and helpful.

Love Luby’s. Sad that there are so few of them now. They have an option for everyone!

I had not been here in awhile. I used to go to Lubys on Oltorf (closed), Lubys on Brodie (closed), and finally decided I would come try this location (Slaughter) again. Reason I hadn't returned was because previously I had tried this it but its baked chicken was not well done and I have never liked their macaroi n cheese (one of my favorite at Lubys). This location also does not offer the same kind of mac n cheese ( my favorite) as other locations. Not tasty n cheesey enough. Other than that all their food is great Vegetarian options: They have a variety of delicious vegetables. Kid-friendliness: Family oriented. Kids have a great selection of foods at great prices for them.

But what it is to be. Got the veg plate. Cornbread was too dry and cold.

Luby''s has great comfort food. Kids eat free on Wednesdays and Saturdays too. There are always plenty of food options. So basically anyone should be able to find something tasty to eat. I prefer the chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken. Those are usually pretty large. You can always take home what you don't finish.
