Lost Forty Brewing

After being told my only real option was the bar as a single diner at 8 pm with 15% capacity, I was sat at an out of the way table when I said I had a laptop and didn’t want to sit at the bar. Waited 10 minutes and no one, including the hostess who at me and walked by a handful of times said anything. I just got up and left. Poor service.

We're visiting Little Rock for the day. We love visiting breweries and sampling the different beers. We decided to give Lost 40 a try. We left, we were seated on the outside patio. The waitress went inside and said she would be back. We waited 15 minutes, she never came back. Oh well.

Easy walk from Downtown Little Rock or across the bridge from North Little Rock. Good vibe, attentive service, good food and beer (best we’ve found in the Little Rock area. Smash Burger was good, waffle fries could have been a little warmer. Pulled Pork was good, but not overly smoked. All in all a good experience on Eclipse Day. Not quite a five, but higher than a four.

Lost Forty Brewing is a cool asset to Arkansas. The art on the cans is great and local. Love honey is one of my favorites. The area of the location isn’t exciting. The inside is an open floor plan with a view of the magic of beer making. Food was surprisingly good and love the wings! Service was excellent and thought the eclipse beer with 1:52 pm in honor of the time the eclipse hits Arkansas is creative. Flights are perfect for sampling.

I went around 2 on a Sunday, a beautiful day and the church crowd was filtering out when I arrived. This place has been on my bucket list since I first tasted Love Honey and I was excited. I was seated immediately since there was a spot at the bar. I had plans on tasting some different selections and reading while I noshed on some brunch. The menu was short and to the point: Too many choices can cause me to overthink it and panic-order. NONE of it looked like a bad choice. I went with the breakfast skillet and an over medium egg. 2nd Rodeo and Love Honey are still my favorites. It wasn't long before I was chatting with two very charming ladies and completely forgot about my book! The staff was great, the beer was tasty, the food was above expectations, and even the music was on point. They have gender neutral bathrooms which is a subtle win... and it was spotless!

The Smoked Jalapeno Pimento Cheese is outstanding! Like the seltzers and of course, the honey Bock.
