Los Tres Magueyes Mexican Restaurant

we waited forever for the server to come to the table and take our order. it was after the lunch rush so i figured it wouldn't take long. I was wrong. once our server showed up and took our order, the food came out fast and was DELICIOUS.

Food is always excellent and very fresh. Service is quick.

I walked in to place a to-go order at 9:25 pm. As I walked in I seen two female employees seated at the table nearby the entrance. They both glared at me and never greeted me or even tried to assist me. I stood there for 5 minutes. The manager was talking on his personal cell phone while walking back and forth. Then he finally got off the phone and assisted me. I proceeded to tell him what I would like to order and then he was like “‘hold on wait a second” and walked to the kitchen and came back and said the kitchen was closed. They had 30 minutes left prior to closing. I told him before I left that i didn’t like how his employees just watch me stand there and didn’t even greet or assist me. He acted like he didn’t understand until i said “ i understand the kitchen is closed. Have a goodnight” Then he locked the door behind him so nobody else would come in. I’m very disappointed with the customer service i received tonight. As i thought this was my favorite Mexican spot, and I never had any issues before but tonight I was very disappointed.

Short story: they charge you different prices than what is posted on the menu. The waiter asked for the credit card before giving us the receipt. Long story: We were a table of 8 people. The waiter comes by and is speaking to us in Spanish. We mention to him that we don’t speak Spanish (only 1 person with us spoke Spanish). He insisted on not speaking English despite what we told him. That’s disrespectful but ok no problem. He suggested cheese dip and guacamole as an appetizer and we agreed. Keep in mind the cheese dip was very liquidy (we were surprised by that but figured every place does it different). We got the food and everyone was happy (the food was good). When we finished, we asked for the receipt and the waiter reached over to grab the credit card. We told him we want the receipt first (thats pretty standard). When the receipt was provided, they charged $21.89 for 2x cheese dip and $14.99 for the guacamole. We thought that was a bit steep. When looking at the menu, there is only 1 option for both of these items priced $4.99 for cheese dip and $5.50 for guacamole. When we confronted the waiter he didn’t really say anything and just walked away. When he came back he said he got us the large one (which we did not ask for and we were asked to choose). There is no large option on the menu. In any case, just be careful. The food was good hence the 3 stars otherwise watch out.

Loved the food. Dog friendly for outside area.

Very good Mexican food. Good flavors and seasoning. Salsa is solid. Huge menu. Good portion sizes. Attentive staff. Fajitas are quite good. Avoid the chile verde, mine was poor. Tacos are good.
