It was such an embarrassing experience. I treated my friend from Mexico to what I considered a landmark in El Paso just to be presented with the check before rush hour. I guess we weren’t worthy enough to occupy a table after spending close to $100 for mediocre food and a couple drinks.
Always delicious. Ask for extra streak on the fajitas
Our go-to place to take out of towners for classic Mexican and Tex-Mex food. Tons of food options, including a decent number of vegetarian options. The vibes and aesthetic of this place is pretty unique. This place is usually always busy, especially at dinner time. However, I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes for a table (of 2 or of 4). Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options for the El Paso area. Mostly vegetable based dishes, but usually has a side of beans with any vegetarian dish. Parking: There’s a decent sized parking lot behind the restaurant, but parking is usually pretty full if the restaurant is busy. I’ve never not found a parking spot, but sometimes you do have to circle the lot more than once to find a spot.
It’s ok but not great texmex. The food to me was kinda blah and not special. Salsa compared to Leo’s or L&Js was way below par. However, if you are looking for an ok place for ok texmex, then you won’t be disappointed. It’s just ok and not great
Always a good meal at Carlos and Mickeys. One of the more popular Mexican restaurants that continues to maintain quality of food, service, and overall experience.
Very traditional place, live music, and nice drinks.
Fun place to take friends visiting from out of town, lots of decor and the food is more Tex Mex I believe but still good, get the margarita with mango it has fresh mango juice in it!
