I had two very good experiences at the Long Bar. Once on the occasion of a cocktail, the second for a dinner. The team offers a quality service and provides good advice. If I have the opportunity to be in Boston again, I will come back to the Long Bar without hesitation.

Last stop on my 1 night Boston bar crawl, recommended by bar staff at other places. Beautiful view, good conversation, normal priced but creative drinks. Would go again as a date...

Overpriced and disappointing hotel bar with a discriminatory seating policy. After a splendid experience at Amar, I took a visit to Long Bar for brunch a few weeks ago. I hoped they would deliver a similar experience, but ours was unfortunately far below our expectations. The most unsettling issue was the apparent seating policy. There seemed to be a discriminatory pattern in which non-Caucasian patrons were consistently seated at tables farthest from the window. This practice was noticeable not just in the dining area but also at the bar, and it casted a discomforting shadow over the entire experience. Since Raffles is a Singaporean-based chain, I hoped they would do better, but they were far worse than other 5 star bars I’ve been in the city. The food was also subpar at best. The two appetizers, Fried Point Judith Calamari and Bluefin Tuna, were good but not exceptional. The grated tomato and a pinch of coarse salt on the Tuna added a pleasant amount of acidity and an occasional burst of umami, and this was perhaps the only dish that came close to meeting our expectations. For the entrées, we opted for the Lobster Roll and the Cod Cake Benedict. Alas, the Lobster Roll was a letdown - its bun, disappointingly dense, overshadowed the delicate flavors of the lobster. The Cod Cake Benedict fared slightly better. Laid beneath the poached egg and creamy melted spinach, the crispy cod cakes provided a satisfying textural contrast. Another letdown was the Masalada, a traditional Portuguese-Hawaiian donut, which unfortunately was too dense, and it was no better than the ones you could grab on Target isles. Compared to the high standards set by Amar, Long Bar + Terrace falls short on multiple fronts. Unless you’re looking for a hotel bar with subpar food and service, I would recommend skipping this place.

Very claustrophobic space despite the sweeping views, and that includes the lobby, low ceilings. The long bar of Long Bar only has 11 seats. The chairs at the tables for some reason are quite low, which is very uncomfortable and the chairs slide around under you. Service was good, bagel was excellent, made in house. Coffee was good. Nice cold water without ice. Really didn't like that if you pay with a card they bring you a card reader and the waiter literally stands right over you as you are deciding your tip, (though apparently finds it necessary to turn as you enter your pin.) Seems like such a hoity-toity place wouldn't use card readers. Overall it was pleasant, nice view, but the low chairs aren't. Wouldn't go out of my way because it is claustrophobic but what I had was good.

My recent visits to The Raffles Long Bar and Terrace, perched on the 17th floor, were nothing short of spectacular. The staff's exceptional courtesy and professionalism set a high bar for service, serving me each time with unparalleled grace. The setting is a perfect blend of warmth, coziness, and modernity, creating an atmosphere that's both inviting and sophisticated, whether I'm with my family, friends, or on a date. The lounge's soothing music complements an exquisite selection of cocktails and sharing plates, enhancing the already sublime ambiance. What truly takes the experience over the top is the breathtaking view of Boston city.
