Cozy, comfy, and complimentary lighting. We sat in the bar as it was more intimate and shared several dishes over martinis. Service is attentive and food tastes home made and is not pasta-heavy. Parking: There is a 5 car lot in back but otherwise I would ride share or park on street.

I came there by bus and the place from the outside looks pretty with the luxury inside. They provide good service from the start even they handled a lot of customers. The pizza is excellent! The bolognese spaghetti is also really good! You must come and try :)

Solid choice for Italian food. Everything we ate was good. The pizza we had was tasty. Our pasta dishes were all good. We had the calamari for an appetizer, and it was kind of flavorless, but at least it didn't taste fishy. I think the breading could have used a bit more seasoning. The atmosphere is kind of fun, probably looks the same as it did in the 60s. Definitely the kind of place you can bring the whole family or a date.

I went with my mother and we had a wonderful time! Our waitress Peyton was an absolute delight. Very authentic Italian cuisine, best pizza i’ve ever had!

A friendly neighborhood Italian restaurant with great food and service. The caprese was the best I've had anywhere. The tiramisu is also excellent and we loved the wine selection. You can't go wrong dining here.

Awesome food, great interior as well. Plus they give the small licorice candy's at the end and they taste really good

On perpetual replay! Best Italian in town - food that is! Visiting for years, and has been consistently delicious with a superb service. When I am not in Italy, eating, I am eating here. Great for any occasion, and simply no occasion low key weeknight dinner. Parking can be a little tricky on a busy day; its own parking lot is pretty small so your best bet becomes the street parking or the end of the block parking lot. Menu is fantastic and varies slightly with the seasons, with some favorites always available to order. They know how to keep us happy. Great cocktails (try the lampshade and paper-plane), wine menu, and superior bar service makes this place special. Atmosphere is cozy; you can choose to sit at white table cloth service room or bar area with high tables. They serve full menu at the bar, so if you drop by on a crazy busy day, that's a great option to a table. Can't go wrong with pizza and pastas... the cesar salad and stuffed dates are just too hard to turn down. Buon appetito! Mangiamo! Parking: They have limited spots but the street has free parking on both sides. Rare not to find an open spot.

Sadly, fine dining has died in Madison. What was once a varied menu - with the usual items and a mix of seasonal dishes is now reduced to a few choices of pasta and pizza, and one entree item, chicken. Oh sure, there are specials - but if you don't like the specials, chicken is your only choice for an entree and the pasta is slim picking. If you are going to offer pasta with a creamy mushroom sauce, you should be able to taste the cream - and leave the nutmeg out. I'm not sure what is happening to the restaurant scene lately. Maybe it is time to get back to the basics and do a fabulous job with that. We don't need a short rib with our pasta, really. I should mention it is really hard to find a vegetarian/vegan option on this menu that is tasty. (Cooking vegetables is a higher art form than cooking meat.) The portions have shrunk, too. What was once a glorious Caesar salad is now a pathetic and inferior reminder. The ingredients are not the same quality, not even the olive oil offered for dipping your bread. Sad to say Lombardino is not the go-to place anymore for us, as well as other restaurants that used to be stellar.

The barrel aged Negroni is the perfect aperitivo. The potato and turnip soup was one of the best soups I've ever had. The tiramisu is amazing! I wish I had picked it over the lemon tart, which was good, but the tart crust was a little chewy.
