.service was better than the food

The Gumbo was so thick that you could ice a cake with it…. It was cold… The mashed potatoes were cold and too thick… The country fried steak was burnt to a crisp… Terrible food experience…

I ordered to go tonight, spent $131.00. The steak was not how I ordered it. The loaded baked potatoe did not come with sour cream, cheese, or bacon. My husband ordered country fried steak it was missing the gravy. The banana pudding wasn't even half full and extremely watery. I read some comments and it sounds as if people are apologized to and dismissed. This food was not put together with care at all. I called 8 times and the business did not answer. I will not order from this restaurant again. The staff needs some serious training.

I will NEVER be back! I don't like to leave a negative review but I'm making an exception in this case! First off our waitress did not even greet us for over 30 minutes and she only had 2 other tables one of which was leaving. After she took our drink and appetizer order she didn't reappear for another 15/20 mins with our drinks and appetizers. Another waitress brought us our food and then afterwards my salad was brought out. My son ordered an old fashioned and asked for a sweet tea. He didn't receive either one until after he finished his appetizer. I ordered a NY strip but received and was charged for a ribeye. I asked for medium and my son requested medium rare but both were nearly well done (no pink at all). The manager walking by saw my son's disapproval and credited us our drinks Now for the part that will tick off any married woman ... When the waitress addressed my husband each time she called him (Love) "now what can I get you my love". Yeah 26 years married I can attest you're NOT his love! Y'all are lucky I found Jesus and I'll just leave it as that! The steaks were tender but over cooked and a 3 on flavor. Not worth the money spent and by the way we didn't get the option to try desserts because she brought us out tickets.

Excellent food, great people that work There and the atmosphere was very pleasing, calm and relaxing

Stopped in with family on a Tuesday evening when traveling. The staff all looked miserable. We were seated without silverware and had to ask for it along with plates when rolls came out. One child ordered milk off the kids menu, and we were told "I don't think we have milk." Our server was not attentive and disappeared completely between check-ins. There were maybe 3 other tables in the restaurant and none served by her. I wanted lemon slices at one point and just gave up looking for her. The kids menu steak tips were the highlight of our order. Cooked medium, flavored well. The side caesar salad was also good. The Carolina Shrimp were room temperature and pale, and they were completely over salted, to the point of burning my mouth after eating several. The green beans were mushy cafeteria-style veggies. The Roadhouse Deluxe Burger was underwhelming. I wish I had picked the Oyster Bar down the street or another local grill.
