I grew up in San Diego having L&L be my family’s go-to Hawaiian spot. Now that I live a few blocks away from this location in Costa Mesa, it’s such a treat! Quick and friendly customer service; and delicious food. I always call ahead and it’s ready when I arrive. Between 5-10 minutes. I like getting the 2 piece Katsu or Spam Musubi, it’s pretty filling for a quick lunch - and a great value. The mini katsu is huge, it’s a great value with a hefty portion. They even have a deal on Tuesday $11-$12 for mini katsu and a drink. That will definitely be enough for lunch AND dinner. Just cook extra rice at home and there’s plenty for 2 meals or to share. I have dined in here a few times too and it’s always clean! This is a great spot

Thier chicken is raw something pink and rubbery. They need to be careful it could cause food poisoning.

I am just comparing this location with the one in Irvine. I said this is 10x better. Friendlier staff. Cleaner place. And way more generous portions. The only problem I have with our order is the chicken katsu was really hard. Double fried can save a lot of time during rush and to assure crispiness. But when the store only has 2 tables seated I would expect a fresh piece of fried chicken.

If you are craving for some Japanese cutlets, don't go to Japanese restaurants, go here for less than half the price :-). Good eats and plenty of choices.
