Living Room Coffeehouse La Jolla

Great local coffee with nice indoor seating area, good for taking break and relax for the next stop

The atmosphere was fine. Lots of places to sit. I did not have any of the food. In the pastry case there was a gnat flying around so that was nasty. I did get a white chocolate mocha. I watched her make it and I was really disappointed she used powdered mix from a drawer to make the drink. *Eye roll* it was beyond gross. Very thick.

For decades I've been going to the original location in La Jolla and I love the place great service great selection of food. Recently was on a date and I didn't realize the new location now had a closing time I think the last one almost never closed. We're standing there and we're just looking at the menu trying to decide what we're going to get and the girl said okay I'll be right back one helping us. I don't know if the guy was a manager or what but all of a sudden you know we're looking and we just decided and he comes up sorry we're closed. Literally all we wanted was hot chocolate and a slice of carrot cake. The new location is pretty and all but when something like this happens it is very disappointing and I will never go back. I used to recommend it to everyone I know I'm a Lyft Uber driver and used to recommend it to all my passengers in La Jolla. That's never happening again you've lost a 30 plus year customer

We have been dining at the Living Room Coffeehouse when in La Jolla for several years now. The previous location was cozy and comfortably casual with a nice view and tasty sandwiches and desserts. The new location is roomy and sophisticated (not as casual) with more seating along with the still good food and desserts offered though we have noticed some changes. The service is not as good as it used to be since they moved into the new location. I had to wait quite a while at the counter for someone to hand me a container for the rest of my sandwich to take out. Also it seems a couple of the desserts have changed. They used to carry a wonderful thick cakelike brownie with chocolate chips inside but now carry your basic brownie that to me is no different then one I can find at a grocery store. We still like the Living Room and hopefully they will maintain the customer service and quality of food that they have had for many years.

Cashier just wants to get to next customer, does barely listen, got wrong bakery and was not able to chose drink size
