I visited Little West Tavern for the first time and I was very impressed by the Host Michael. He was very courteous, helpful, and attentive. He welcomed my guests and I with a smile and escorted us to our table. He was always available to answer any questions I had even if he didn't know, he went to source the correct Answer, He was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The food was amazing and the service was fast. My Server Mo was Fantastic as Well! I enjoyed the Market steak and the cheddar biscuits. The atmosphere was cozy and casual, with a nice view of the street. I would definitely come back to Little West Tavern and recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Columbus. Michael, you are a great Host and I hope to see you again soon! Parking: They have $10 Valet
First visit to the Little West Tavern. Walking in, the room was dark with a western vibe. We were seated at the bar next to the wood fired grill. Stewart was our server and he was great. The draft beers were great. We skipped appetizers and went straight for the main course. We had the half chicken under a brick and the Denver Diane Steak. For sides we ordered the cauliflower and the brussel sprouts. Both sides were delicious! The mains, not so much. The steak was fatty and tough. I ate less than half and didn’t take any leftovers as it was just too tough. One staff member, or possibly the manager stopped by to explain it was a “fall steak” which was a tough cut, which would have been nice to know prior to ordering the $45 entree. The chicken started out moist and I was impressed with it, until we got into the thicker part of the breast which was very bloody the meat was very pink and not white. Another staff member assured us the chicken was thoroughly cooked as they boil it first and this was just a vein and nothing to worry about. We couldn’t finish as it was quite unappealing to look at. The beers and sides were awesome! Between the chicken and the steak, $68 of entrees were not good quality. The staff members were all friendly. We might go back to try a hamburger and enjoy the ambiance , but will stay away from the steak and chicken.
Little West Tavern is a cozy restaurant with wood-hearth oven dishes. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. Michael, the Host, was very helpful and courteous. He made me feel welcome and comfortable. I loved the food and the service. It is one of the best restaurants in Columbus.
Went for a friend's birthday, will absolutely be back. Would never have known about this place but it is fantastic, the wood-fired fare is impactful. Set in a beautifully warm dining space with robust simple flavors and meats executed perfectly. Tomahawk was an uncommon splurge, and a worthy one. Shrimp also exceeded, this place is a gem!
Had a wonderful time at Little West Tavern, a cozy and charming restaurant in Columbus. as soon as we came through the doors the host, Michael, was very friendly and welcoming, we came in on a busy night without a reservation, so of course we were thinking we would have to sit at the bar, but he thankfully had some room left for us to be seated! We sat at nice table by the window. Our server, Karen, was attentive and helpful, and she gave us some great recommendations from the menu. We ordered the bone marrow, the broccolini, and the tomahawk steak, and they were all delicious. The bone marrow was rich and creamy, the broccolini was crisp and flavorful, and the tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant also had a great selection of drinks, and we enjoyed a couple of cocktails from the bar. The atmosphere was lively and relaxed, and we loved the decor and the music. We had a great conversation with Karen, who were both very personable and professional. Afterwards Michael showed us up to Brass Eye where he gave us some more intel on the Background of the Hotel, I find it Fascinating that it's almost all one theme BENJAMIN FRANKLIN and then about a Cow named Maudine. At the end of the night They made us feel like we were part of the family. We will definitely be back soon, and we highly recommend Little West Tavern to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Columbus. Parking: Had Valet Options
Great spot for cozy winter dining - loved the atmosphere with the open hearth fire. Food was delicious - I ordered the prawns which were brought to the table still sizzling on their plate - they were probably the best prawns I've ever eaten. My husband got the chicken sandwich and we shared some sides. The cauliflower was amazing - the most creative and delicious preparation of cauliflower I've ever seen at a restaurant. Service was good, prices a bit high but not out of line for a downtown restaurant. Will definitely return!
Chef Danny Godfrey loves what he does and it shows. From the graceful hand filet of the salmon right in front of you; to letting my fiancé Ryan choose his perfect piece. The love and pride he puts into each dish is as comforting and warm as his conversation that accompanies each meal. Our server was both gracious and attentive but not overbearing. Stewart was the perfect complement to an amazing meal. Sit at the hearth and get to know Chef Danny; I assure you it’s worth it. You will not be disappointed and we will definitely be back.
Excellent service at the bar, solid cocktails but for a $45 8oz Denver steak you should nail the temp and they sure didn’t. Add a $10 side and it’s like Applebees quality steak and a good atmosphere.
