Narrow little local pizzaria serving delicious crispy pizza , quick register service and 15 to 20 small tables you can push around for small groups of up to 7 or so people. Garlic knots are garlicky, pizza hot and crispy. A regular slice is very thin with a lot of flop and a medium amount of oil drip. Other slices like Sicilian and Grandma look good too.
Delicious New York pizza, plain and simple! I always got the cheese slice and was never disappointed, regardless of which location. We’re talking a thin, crisp crust, and a tangy sauce. It’s just right. But it’s not the kind of place where you want to spend any time, what with the sterile lighting and cramped area and general messiness. The service is also brusque but I let that slide because what do you expect in a fast paced New York pizzeria? Better to just get it on a paper plate (no bag) and eat while walking, Saturday Night Fever style. My only issue, and for me it’s a big one, is that I just wish more of these great pizza joints would offer a non-dairy option. I asked recently and the guy at the counter winced at the thought of it. Is it really that crazy? There are a lot of people in the general population who don’t do well with dairy but still want to enjoy pizza. I am one of them, and so I can no longer eat this pizza because of that. And for all of these pizza joints that refuse to offer a non-dairy option, well, it’s your loss. You would make more money if you did!
