Little Donkey in Cambridge offers an enticing culinary experience with its delicious food. Despite the occasional noise, the ambiance is elevated by the option to open doors to the outside and providing a glimpse into the bustling kitchen. Service is consistently excellent, complementing the flavorful dishes. While every taste is a delight, the inclusion of "added costs" like "Emma’s fund" or "wellness fee" detracts from the overall experience. Simplifying the pricing structure by incorporating these costs into the menu prices would be a welcomed improvement, ensuring fair compensation for the hardworking staff.
Cool ambiance, but the food was meh, and this place is way too expensive to be a hit or miss. Parker house rolls are amazing. The scallops, tuna, salmon were all VERY fishy…maybe I got a bad batch the scallops were so bad that I didn’t eat more than one because I feared getting sick. Told our waiter and nothing happened except they took away the plate. Cacio was interesting, but not mind blowing or craveable. Hanger steak was pretty decent. Drinks were nice. Overall, I wouldn’t go back.
Portion sizes are too small for the price, I understand how high end restaurants justify their prices but in this case the food was very underwhelming
Service was very confusing there were a lot of different people and some more helpful than most.
I was mistakenly recommended to look into having my family reunion get together here. All I needed to see is that they support force feeding geese and ducks with steel tubes stuffed down their throats for something so stupid as foie gras. It’s horrible and banned in lots of places for good reason. Get with the times, little donkey. The current pressure campaign will not be good for your business
I was looking for a restaurant in Cambridge that has some vegan offerings. I had a look at the menu and saw they sell foie gras. I don’t understand why? It’s 2024. How can your restaurant condone the cruel practice of gavage in order to obtain a topping on a burger? This is the cruel practice of force feeding ducks and geese by putting a metal tube down their throats! Many times the tube punctures their esophagus! I also understand there has been some recent uproars outside your restaurant about this. Pardon me but I have to agree with them. Find another topping for your burgers. Stop supporting this cruelty. I’m taking my business somewhere else. And my friends will as well.
Very average for the price. Def recommend other places like Bartaco in Brookline or even Felipes.
