Great food and sharables! Wish they had a mezcal margarita option that wasn't $30

What an adorable restaurant right at the base of lookout mountain. We stopped by here for a quick dinner around 6 PM during the weekday and this place was busy. We started with the deviled eggs, which were made with shrimp, and the pork belly. The deviled eggs came recommended and they were good, but not the highlight of the meal. The pork belly was a juicy piece of meat! Our server brought over house made corn tortillas for us to enjoy the meat with which was perfect. For the mains, which we shared, we got the barbacoa and the beef cheek. Both were wonderful with entirely different flavor profiles. The beef cheek was Smokey and wonderful with the house made sauce, while the barbacoa was on the fresher side with the salsa verde base. We had a wonderful time and couldn’t finish all the food we ordered. Pleasantly surprised with this gem.

I enjoyed my first trip to Little Coyote and would go back. We went for a late lunch/early dinner. Be aware that even though they open at 4, they don't serve food until 5! They serve dishes tapas style as they're ready, so pace your orders accordingly if you want them timed a certain way. It's definitely best suited for sharing since things come at different times. My group enjoyed the queso con carne, the raw fish preparation, the carnitas, and the brisket most. The fresh tortillas were delicious. The side of rice was very expensive and mushy, and the enchiladas were ok, but I wouldn't order them again. The servers were excellent. Overall, an enjoyable first visit!

Absolute disappointment. From the food to the audacious cost of drinks. Along with the expectation to order food in a manner that’s convenient to the chef. Will not be back and caution anyone else from wasting their money. However, if you do go for drinks, be sure to get clarification on what the bartender’s “preferred” brand is for mixed drinks. Because he will screw you to the wall.

The service was great & the atmosphere was great but the food was “meh”. Like just wasn’t super impressed. Wouldn’t say it was top tier or anything but the drinks were pretty good. We got the lamb, the brisket, the queso, the half chicken. The chicken and yuca was the bestttt thing ever. Everything else was meh.

Tonight was our first experience eating at Little Coyote. We had our big pup with us so we were headed to 1885 (st Elmo) but their patio was closed. So we walked across the street where we were welcomed immediately and our dog was served water, as were we, quickly. The manager. Christian, was superb! The entire staff was wonderful, the food was good and interesting and unexpected! The atmosphere was chill, the patio will be superb in the warmer weather! (Although the heaters did a great job on this cool evening) oh! And order the ice cream!

The service was amazing, the atmosphere was really nice well appointed but lacked ambiance without a little background music, I felt like i was dinning in a library. I had a spicy Paloma it was alright nothing to write home about. The pork belly was really good but the portion size for the price was off balance, marinated shrimp left a lot to be desired the shrimp and mussels were tiny (dime size) and over powered with a ton of green olives. The steak and chimichurri was the biggest let down of the night. The steak was very low quality stringy and took forever to chew the chimichurri was probably the worst i have ever had, no flavor other than parsley. Overall cheap low quality foods sold at high prices. If you’re a foodie this isn’t the place, if you want a nice environment with great service it may suffice.
