I had an Americano here and decided to write a review because of an exceptional customer service. The lovely barista who made my Americano noticed that the milk separated as I poured it in my cup and she was so kind to offer remaking it for me. I was so so grateful for her kind and respectful manner. Will look forward to come back here again! Thank you.
Really great tasting croissants rolls, especially the coffee flavour one being filled with delicious cream that wasn't too sweet. Was disappointed with the viral hot chocolate croissant roll which I found the chocolate to be too thick.
Cafe on Robson in Downtown Vancouver has garnered attention for its unique offering of Supreme Croissants, also known as Circle Croissants, in flavors like Chestnut, Black Sesame Fig, and Matcha. These croissants have been praised for their flaky, buttery layers, with each flavor bringing its own unique appeal. The Chestnut Supreme, for example, is noted for its strong flavor and perfect crisp exterior, while the Black Sesame Fig Supreme combines the nuttiness of roasted sesame with the mild sweetness of fig. The Matcha Supreme stands out for its use of top-grade matcha, balancing the bitterness of the matcha with the sweetness of cream.
I came to try the Hot Chocolate Fest matcha mont blanc hot chocolate, a white matcha hot chocolate topped with matcha vermicelli made from chestnut paste. I'm not much of a hot chocolate drinker but I love matcha and chestnut so this was one of the few Hot Chocolate Fest drinks that caught my attention. The drink lived up to my expectation: the matcha was good, and the vermicelli had a really cool texture and nutty flavour that made it super fun to drink. What actually stole my heart at this cafe was the sandwich I bought to accompany the hot chocolate! I got the "vegan" sandwich on the supreme croissant (the filling of the sandwich was the vegan filling, but this sandwich was not actually vegan because the croissant contains butter - you can get it on sourdough for an actual vegan sandwich). The croissant was amazing, with a crispy caramelized shell and tender inside. The way that the dough flaked with each bite was so satisfying. The veggie filling was simple and straightforward and that was fine because the croissant was just so extraordinary. Good service from the staff, who brought my drink and croissant to my table, and also made sure to check when I ordered to make sure I knew that the croissant wasn't vegan. As the name implies, the cafe is on the smaller side, but there's a decent amount of comfortable seating available and I had no problem getting a table. If you see croissant crumbs all over the floor like I did, do not be alarmed because they do sweep them up often, this is evidently just what happens when you have lots of people eating flaky croissants. I was there around noon on a weekday and they were out of the filled supreme croissants. I heard someone else come in and ask about them and they said they'd have more later, so I guess they bake them throughout the day.
Friendly Staff and fantastic service highly recommended & appreciated it. The food was amazing!!!
Omg the chocolate croissant was bursting with filling! It was still fresh from the oven. And the lattes are great too. Really great spot.
Pretty good dessert option in downtown. The flavour is well balanced: the croissant crust is crisp, the chocolate inside is not overwhelmingly sweet. A pretty classic guilty pleasure type of snacks :)
