Whatever theyve done to change the Bifana, they should reverse. Its dry and tastes like paper, the roasted pepper is the best part of it now and its not good enough. MAKE BIFANAS GREAT AGAIN!
Never fails to meet my high levels of expectation. Whether it’s custard tarts, a nice bowl of Aldo verse or that ever enticing pit pit chicken, I leave wanting to come back again and again.
Love this place! Friendly, welcoming service, and some truly outstanding food. The chicken is fantastic, and it’s worth going just for that, but, seriously: they have THE best Portuguese custard tarts in Waterloo Region. Forget the grocery store or your local international food shop - if you want to really understand why people go gaga for Porto custard tarts, you have to try one from Lisboa. The other desserts are tasty too. Parking: Haven’t had trouble finding a spot right out front any time I’ve come, but there are multiple other free lots very close by. Kid-friendliness: They were very kind to my toddler and brought a high chair. They also accommodated my requests about how to make the sandwich to please a picky 3 yr old - and he loved it!
Ordered food from this place and I was extremely excited, Unfortunately I had to throw it out because the salad was rotten. Wasted money and time, what a let down. The chicken and rice was really bad too, if you want great Portuguese food, go to Toma la! It's worth the drive for the quality.
Ordered a large tray of potatoes and rice for my work potluck, expecting the traditional taste from a Portuguese place. The potatoes came out with a brown hue full of oil, instead of the red you would normally expect. The rice is very bland, with not much veggies in it. There is no spice in these dishes either. I was very disappointed bringing these to work, especially for the price. Each tray was 40 dollars, and was expecting much more for that price. There was no hot sauce included at that price. The food can be described as bland and passable, but missing that Portuguese flavour and touch. I would definitely think about ordering from elsewhere.
