This weekend me and my fiancé celebrated our engagement at our favorite restaurant, Lion and the rambler! The service here is phenomenal, from the warm hostess who remembered us by name to the chef who explained every detail of each dish as it was served to us. The ambience is amazing; intimate, funky, beautiful decor and great music. This restaurant holds a special place in our heart, and to top it off the food here is incredible. We chose the 4-course tasting menu. Pictured is the thrice fried chicken, bluefin tuna tart, koginut squash croustade, spiced apple bread w/ foie gras & serrano ham, the best bread you’ll ever have, line caught cod, and the dessert featuring bonbon’s with flower shaped truffle. The attention to detail in each meal makes every bite so special. Thank you for this incredible concept, the creativity of each meal and for being a wonderful space to enjoy with loved ones!

10/10 recommend this place! I went with my dad who is a major foodie and we had the most amazing time. The food is incredible — Perfectly cooked with really interesting flavor combinations AND the chef came out to serve our meals and do the finishing touches to our plates. The overall vibe is also very cute and cozy; not stuffy at all. Definitely cute for a date night or a small group of friends.

Best meal (tasting menu) I’ve had in my life.

My second visit was just as incredible as the first! This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. From the food to the ambiance, everything is perfection. Chef Bolen & his wife Angelina create a warm and welcoming environment in this intimate space, making it that much more of a special experience. The focaccia is life changing, and do not sleep on the Thursday pizza special (this was a pleasant surprise). I have tried most of the a la carte menu at this point, and everything is wonderfully inventive and packed with flavor. Some favorites include the roasted beets, maitake mushroom, steak tartare, boniato pelmeni, but really you can’t go wrong. The menu frequently changes, so every visit is equally as exciting as the last. Most importantly, do NOT skip dessert. You will never find desserts like these, and you’ll be thinking about them long after you leave. Chef Bolen is a culinary genius! Can’t wait to come back a third time.

One of my favorite restaurants in Miami. Not about scene, not about spend, just exceptionally creative fare in a comfortable setting. Chef Bolan is always at the head of the kitchen making something delicious and his creativity and focus on quality ensure each plate is perfect. Ingredients vary based on seasonality , and bread service is among the best in town
