Best brisket I have ever had.

Came in to get lunch with my mom and nephew. I had the pulled pork sandwich and fries, and they were incredible. We were really happy with the prices in regards to the portions you get. My nephew couldn't finish his chicken so we took the rest home for my wife. We'll definitely be back.

Green beans over salted. $3.50 Beef Brisket was good. $11 Mac & Cheese OK

Good barbecue place that we found looking for somewhere between Nelsonville and Columbus. Nice selection of meat and sides on the menu that even a picky eater when it comes to different meats enjoyed. It looks like most of their business might be through preorders and pickup through a drive thru. Will be back if we are in the area again.

Pulled pork sandwich was good, as were the seasoned fries, but they need to seriously improve the barbecue sauce. It was like seasoned tomato sauce at best, runny and soaked thru the bun immediately. Come on guys. If I ever come back here, I’ll bring my own sauce. Other then that, I would have no complaints.

UPDATE: the unprofessional response from the owner below not only validated my distaste for this establishment, but actually lowered my rating from 3 stars. Read his responses to other “less-than-stellar” reviews and you will see the same issue. Now, I will not only never return here because of the hair, but I will recommend against this business to anyone who asks, due to poor management. Congratulations… Seriously, read his responses, you will get a laugh… Original review: The BBQ was tasty. Sides were good too. The issue I had is that I found a hair in my potato salad. I hope this was a one-time issue, and I was the only one affected. I confirmed it didn’t match my or my family’s hair, and it was actually down in the salad, about 2/3 to the bottom of the container. Unfortunately I won’t be back for a while, because hair in food bothers me a lot and I have some trauma around this. On the rare occasion I would find a hair in food, before, I was grossed out but moved on. I’ve recently realized that there are restaurants I’ve literally been to tens if not hundreds (in the case of, say, McDonald’s, THOUSANDS) of times in my life, and never once came across a single hair in my food, so with that fact, I simply cannot look past it. I do hope they are more careful in the future and no one else ever has this issue.

Went there last night for the first time after passing up their BBQ trailer for years and so glad we did! The ribs had an amazing rub on them, the sauces were good and they had plenty to choose from. Fries are a must and the Pit Beans! You will not leave hungry. The half rack is a perfect portion of food. We will be back!
