I had a good experience when I was inside of Limón y Sal and everything changed once were were walking out. While a group of us were on the way out, one of the male employees assaulted me. I was pushed with so much force that that I fell and hit the back of my head on the concrete. A lot of witnesses saw, and it was incredibly hard to get information of the employee who did it. Richard was the security that was outside who claimed to not have seen anything. I will be filing a report. I hope that nobody ever gets to experience what I did.
Dont waste your time. They wasted 40 of mine as a twosome when multiple tables were open, claiming boths were for 4 people or more when there was multiple booths with only 2 people. Charged me double for a beer upstairs despite it being happy hour. Bad service overall, wont be back.
We had a great experience at Limon y Sal on a rainy night in Ventura. It's right across the street from the Ventura Theater where we had concert tickets and made for a perfect location for a pre-show dinner. It was crowded, as one might expect on a Saturday night, but we were seated almost right away. Our server and a nearby manager were super attentive and our food came quickly too, so we didn't feel rushed eating when we knew we wanted to get across the street soon. They've got quite an extensive tequila and mezcal collection. We've been exploring mezcal more and when it was clear we really didn't know what we wanted, or even what to ask for, after a little conversation, the manager brought us over a sampling of a couple. We picked the one we liked best and essentially for the price of a single shot, got a mezcal tasting. Above and beyond. As vegetarians, and as fans of Mexican food, we were thrilled they had some plant-based meat options which we took advantage of. (Actually they have an entire vegan menu with lots of options on it.) I had a 2 Vegan Taco Platter with one Soy Chorizo taco, and one Soy Chicken taco. Both were good (with my preference this time going to the soy chorizo one which had more flavor.) My wife lvoed the Portobello Spinach Enchiladas and is still salivating about the green sauce that they were on. Both meals were full plates...the beans came in a mini tostada shell as their serving dish...We didn't leave hungry. If we lived in Ventura we'd come back often as there was lots to try for us. Well done Limon y Sal!
This place is very popular. I went for the first time and got the private room on the second floor. They play club music of all sorts of languages. We got the appetizer "Quemaditas" and they were fiiiire. Mini tostadas with chorizo & other toppings. The service was fast with friendly staff. The downstairs part is more quiet and no flashing lights.
Esta hermoso y la atención de 10
I can not say enough good things about this restaurant. I could not find anyone to host a party of 60 and without hesitation the owner Carlos agreed to help me. I am very appreciative to him and his staff. The staff here is detail oriented, welcoming and extremely patient. The food and drinks are amazing!!!! The atmosphere is awesome.
