This place is an experience. The atmosphere is phenomenal. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable in the menu. Before our meal we ordered Cornichon Martini and Chagall with a choice of three cheeses and a mini baguette. The Cornichon Martini was perfect and the Chagall was top notch. I was not sure which cheeses to try but with some guidance from the Fromager, we were able to try some delicious cheeses. If you ever want to splurge on an small plate, the scallops are the way to go. Even if you want to try just one - which you can do - it's totally worth it. Flavourful and tender, they were perfect. For our main meal we ordered the Steak Frites and Canard. I can not say enough good things. Both main dishes were excellent. My prime rib was cooked to perfection and had so much flavor. I am not a fan of duck but it looked delicious and my husband absolutely loved it. For dessert we had the Tarte Pamplemousse. The presentation was gorgeous with the flavor to match. It is has a citrus flavor with a hint of sour from the grapefruit that I was not expecting and pleasantly surprised. We look forward to celebrating a special occasion again at Lilou's.

Fantastic! Try serving cognac in cognac glasses to keep it authentic French. Sommelier does not need to share what is done with a bottle of wine once it is returned. Try keeping the class of staff in-line with prices .

We had a very pleasant meal. First, server balanced the amount of attention they gave us versus letting us quietly enjoy our meal. Never had to wait for anything, etc. Also, we very much appreciated the spacing between our courses. The food, of course, was excellent. We have eaten at some of the top restaurants in France and Belgium, and Lilou is probably just as good. Well done.

We waited a few months for Lilou to get their feet under them before dining. Unfortunately, it seems they still lack some of the elements you’d expect from a restaurant at this price point. The space is beautiful and the attention to detail cannot be denied! The food is fine, but it feels like they are trying so hard to be so traditionally French the food ultimately falls a bit flat in execution. Service is truly where the wheels come off - servers seemed absent causing drinks went empty and time to get new drinks was too long. Hopefully they can continue to work out the kinks and improve on the shortcomings. Vegetarian options: Roasted wild mushroom

The escargot and the negroni were excellent, also the Vieux Old fashioned is the best I have had in Knoxville. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the bartenders are great.

Like others said, this place is totally overpriced and not tasty. I love French food, and this was disappointing. The Chablis tasted like it’s been open for weeks and the duck was super tough and chewy. The beef tartare was ok, and my husband’s steak was ok too. The cheese specialist couldn’t answer a single one of our questions, and we waited to talk to her for half an hour. Go to JC Holdway for a nice, special meal. We had many $200 meals in Knoxville, and this one was awful.

I really enjoyed date night here. We tried the razor clam and squid appetizer (fantastic and fresh), the duck dish (this was my favorite of the night), a side of French fries (YES), and the lamb stew (really good and tasted like spring with the vegetables). The creme brûlée was FANTASTIC. The grapefruit tarte was good but the creme brûlée was the standout. The service was top notch- helpful, friendly, attentive. We want to come back and eat at the bar and try cheeses and appetizers.

Came in on a Friday night. The bar was open luckily with plenty of room to eat. I would recommend making a reservation. Pros: + Ambience + Steak frites were amazing + Cocktails were great (priced around $14) + Service speed Cons: - Pronouncing the names of entrees lol (best I could come up with) Side note: I’ve read other reviews concerning prices. This restaurant (which is located downtown) has similar pricing to other French restaurants that I’ve visited. Maybe Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn would be more suitable for those visitors.
