Lillie Mae's Southern Cafe

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lillie Mae's Southern Cafe in Tampa, Florida, and it was an exceptionally enjoyable experience. Our waitress, Sarah, provided a warm and inviting atmosphere that created the perfect backdrop for a wonderful meal. The highlight of our visit was definitely the breakfast offerings. I chose the Southern-style biscuits and gravy, which was a delightful surprise. The biscuits were perfectly flaky, and the gravy was rich and packed with flavor, resulting in a comforting and satisfying breakfast. My dining companion went for the classic shrimp and grits, which were equally impressive. The creamy grits and expertly seasoned shrimp showcased the restaurant's commitment to Southern cuisine. Lillie Mae's Southern Cafe offers a menu that truly celebrates the flavors of the South, with options ranging from chicken and waffles to hearty omelets. Each dish reflects the restaurant's dedication to quality ingredients and meticulous preparation. The restaurant exudes a cozy and charming Southern ambiance, making it the perfect place for a relaxed breakfast or brunch. Prices were reasonable, and the portions were generous, ensuring that you leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face. Pulled up to gas station & the business is CLOSED

I liked them better off 50th. I don’t know what the world going on now cause baybe them turkey wings wasn’t hitting on nothing!! No salt, no seasoning. The cabbage and macaroni was nasty and they didn’t give you no cornbread! Plus it’s all Arabs in there serving soul food, I done seen it all, won’t be going back.

The worst I have ever had in Tampa. Black bean crunchy and vinegar taste, a pinch of salty green enough for a baby, and chicken the was "supposed" to be curry. NEVER AGAIN

I don’t usually post negative reviews bc I’m also a business owner but this was definitely one of the worst take out experiences I’ve ever had, so glad I didn’t get sick from the spoiled smelling Mac n cheese The smell was so bad I couldn’t even taste it …the “smothered Turkey wings” were not smothered, dry and in scraps of Turkey, most likely left over from the day before. ( I ordered as soon as they opened) the rice was hard, peach cobbler smelled sour and exploded out of the container. I hadn’t eaten In about 2 days and wasted a good $30….gas station or not, people are supporting you and paying extra for delivery. Totally Unacceptable.

Horrible has no taste I went back in the store n told that man it taste like a white person cooked it *no offense to white people everything was bland no taste definitely not southern cooking 20 for horrible bland food he had to recook and season my food again

Looking for good seasoned southern food, great place to try!

I ordered a chicken breast sandwich on a brioche bun and I got a bone-in breast on a hamburger bun with no sauce. Black eyed peas were crunchy, soupy, and lacked basic seasoning.
