Great pasta in a very cold place. Probably during the summer This restaurant is so good no one can resist it, but today on a cold evening the place is complicated. As I mentioned food was great as every pasta plate is home made. The starters are also great. So come here with the confidence that your meal is going to be great and that you will leave very happy. Just try to bring a sweater when temperatures drop.
Don't get the patio seats no matter how bad you want to try Lilia. You will feel cold, neglected, and miserable. Your food will cool down before you can finish it despite the tiny portion. Your conversation will constantly be interrupted by the rumbling of train (yes, it's right underneath). And there's little you can do if "inclement weather" happens in the middle of your meal. Nothing we ordered tasted strikingly good. Focaccia was weird. Broccoli looked and tasted like they were just defrosted. Spent close to $200 for 2, yet we wanted Popeyes afterwards, feeling like characters from Atlanta.
The only complaint was the service was so timely and the food so wonderful, we wanted to linger. This is a great addition to our downtown foodie scene, This place is well worth exploring. We will be back, many times! G and K
Everything was great. Yummy food, attentive service, cozy atmosphere. Thank you Lilia!
Beautiful food, cool vibes, great service
Highly anticipated dinner at Lilia fell short of expectations. Service was courteous and attentive, but food was underwhelming. Rigatoni was severely undercooked (Al croquante as I would describe it), and somewhat bland. Spaghetti Al Limone was cooked right as was the Parpadelle, but again, it lacked flavor. There are better, less hyped Italian restaurants that deserve more recognition than Lilia.
