In November 2022, for 4 days from Toronto we went to visit our friend in New York. Our stay was in Lexington Autograph Collection hotel. Lexington Brass Cafe & Grill was just across the road from our hotel. One evening we wanted to go there for a dinner being tired of sightseeing the city for entire day. We found very cozy atmosphere there, room was not too tight so we decided to stay. We liked the dishes we ordered. They were very tasty and well prepared, except shrimps which we just touched a bit. Francisco (I believe he was a shift manager or supervisor) kindly asked us about it, what was wrong with shrimps, to it we answered that they were not cooked the way we used to. So he did not include it in our final bill. That was first pleasant surprise for us there. Then we left payment inside the receipt holder and went out of the place. Next day for some reason, probably we were still under very good impressions from visiting Brass, we decided to go there for a dinner second time. Once we entered, we saw Francisco standing at the counter, the person who talked to us about shrimps. Right away he started to talk to us. You guys left so much tips yesterday so I am sure it was just by mistake (amount was almost twice as higher as the price of our order). And it was really true. We did not think to leave so much tips. What happened was 100 US dollar bills were new and stuck together so we did not even notice it. Francisco gave us back extra 100 dollar bill that was put by mistake and then we ordered meal that was again very good and tasty. That was second pleasant surprise for us during our stay in New York. Nowadays not often we can see such a remarkable expressions of hospitality, fairness and honesty. Such expressions deserve at least commendations and recognitions if not to say more. We recommend to try Lexington Brass Cafe & Grill, we sure you will like stay there. Thankfully Konstantin and Svetlana.
