Élevage SoHo Kitchen & Bar

This is NOT Bern’s but definitely enjoyed their dinner service. If you like great food and atmosphere, give Élevage a try.

Scott was very attentive and friendly. Steve came by and made sure my glass was full . Joanna checked in on us to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. Exemplary customer service was given. I would recommend for anyone who wants to be treated to both amazing food and an amicable staff. This is how I like to be treated and we will be coming back.

Food was delicious and the service exemplary. Loved the selection of nonalcoholic drinks.

You should stand by your dress code. When we were there, there was a man next to us wearing camouflage shorts. Not acceptable attire in a place like yours.

The hummus falafel entree was great! Perfect. We were so looking forward to this place because of the reviews however the Homage to Bern was prepared with some sort of spicy sauce but it did not stated that in the menu. We also ordered the truffle fries and couldn't eat them. There was an egregious amount of salt used on both the truffle fries and the onion rings that came with Bern. If you go be certain to order specifically stating no added salt. It was an expensive lunch that, most of which, didn't get eaten.

Made the rez way in advance. Also reminded the very nice hostess when we got there. She said she had the information of the 50th wedding anniversary. They did NOTHING. Fillet Mignon tasted like pot roast....was overcooked and stringy. HAD to send it back. Thank goodness we were early as it is so very noisy in the room. Very hard for conversations. Went to the Roof top bar and it was dull and boring. Even the view was not worth going up there. Will not recommend to anyone. We were asked how we wanted the seabass and scallops cooked????? Isn't that the chef's discretion to cook for the best flavor?? Seemed like a new server.

Elevage is a valuable spot to keep in your dining portfolio. It's an elegant setting. But you can be comfortable being 1) Casual, 2) Intimate, or 3) Professional. The variety of dishes assures that something will peak your interest, but be careful that you don't develop favorites that you repeat over branch out and try something you like it just as much. That's what happened on my last visit. I tried (someone else's ) Huevos rancheros B-E-S-T I've E-V-E-R had The other reason it's my go to "spot". Let's say on any given visit, one aspect misses a step, maybe the food comes out slow. Thats never happened to me, but say it did. The other aspects of the Elevage experience service, taste, and atmosphere more than make up for it. While you are waiting you are anticipating your meal and enjoying your experience. When all your guest are served they get that worth the wait glow, and you know it's a 5 star occasion. Lastly, shout out to Shawn (Sean??) one of the attentive GM's. He took my guest up to tour Edge their rooftop bar and socializing oasis, even though he was legitimately busy with other business. But she loved it and wants to book a Spring event there.
