Visited here yesterday for the first time. Service was good except for at the end. Waitress seemed a little dismissive. We both had the burger with fries and coffee's. The coffee was okay and I didn't like that. They didn't have real sugar and only milk. The burgers were delicious and the fries were really good too Jo. My friend gave it a 5 overall and I gave them A 4. Overall because of the bad coffee. Or not so good coffee and no sugar and dismissive waitress at the end. Oh, also I love the music they played. Old i guess Soul music. I liked but dont have to go again.
Great place in downtown Decatur! Fresh food, good vibe, great outdoor seating area.
The entire time my partner and I were there it seemed like we were a nuisance. We experience this a lot being black and queer. We sat at the bar and had to ask for everything we needed at least 3 times. I am a bartender myself and I never leave reviews but being here made us really sad.
Wow what impressive turn around from a former gas station! FOOD was AWESOME n SERVICE was AWESOME the RESTAURANT was AWESOME! Would gave 5 if it wasn't so loud, couldn't talk at Table.
Our first time here. The food was a small portion and not very tasty at all. On the other hand, the coctails were fantastic! I ordered the Paper Plane and it was phenomenal! I let the server know that we were discussing what drinks we wanted to try next and we would want to order another round soon. Then we got our food (from a different server) and our server didn’t come back until we were well beyond finished with our food and at that point we just asked for the check and didn’t order the second drinks. There was a lot left to be desired and we wouldn’t want to come back but, hey, at least we got one good drink tonight.
I really enjoyed Leon’s! Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, the atmosphere was fun, and the food was delicious! We got crispy tofu and mussels for the table, and I would recommend them! The tofu was particularly good. For my entree I got the porchetta, and I loved it! The meat was perfect and the whole dish was really well balanced. The only downside was the desserts, both of the ones we tried were a bit underwhelming.
The food is at the top end of quality for standard bar fare but you're missing an experience if you don't sit at the bar. Brie and the rest of the team at the bar brings a knowledge of wine-, beer-, and especially liquor-pairings that really round out a great experience.
