Good coffee and cheese cake but baklava was way too sugary…
I have stupidly returned here many times due to the convenient location. Why I expect anything to change is beyond me. The desserts are inconsistent and I've gotten sick a few times, including when I got a dessert that tasted like cleaning solution. A cup cake another time had a frosting that tasted just like plan crisco. Sometimes your win though. The older lady is horrible and so unhelpful to her employees. Most recently I was next in line and she looked at me and said next. I walked over so I was nearer to her and someone tried to cut me. I politely said I was next, and she pointed at the line and said the line is there, and turned her head on both of us. Didn't even help the other lady with the line or the door to deliberately ignore us. The overworked girl working "with" her had seen me next in line, and took me next. Why these girls have to work harder because she's rude isn't fair. They are also more expensive than other stores. Overall your experience will vary and expect inconsistent quality.
Don’t go there. Prices are ridiculous. Two apple turnovers were cost me $16.25. I just heard, I did not fact check, but seems like they do not place price labels on purpose, if your origin is not recognisable, they charge you twice higher.
The chocolate cake was terrible. It was stale and the nuts inside had terrible after taste, needless to say it was really embarrassing when people took first bite and ask where the hell did you buy this cake from? It was $65.00 down the toilet. Nasty old lady with terrible additude, I should have gone to Martha's atlest the cake would have been fresh and service would have been with smile. Please don't waste you money unless you want to be embarrassed infont of your family and friends.
Great space and ambiance. The selection is wide and rich. A bit overpriced
Way too expensive,11 $ for a small piece of orange cake!!! Even expensive Manhattan bakeries dont have this prices!
Rude lady behind the counter with soggy baklava
The pastries are out of this world. The people who are complaining about the staff and owner do not understand real New Yorkers. Damn transplants!
