Three Broomsticks had a line out the door so we tried Leaky Cauldron instead. Did not disappoint, we got a table right away. We prefer the pumpkin juice over butter beer and it was delicious and refreshing. Our food was delivered promptly. My daughter enjoyed the scotch eggs and the Beef and Lamb Guinness stew was delicious! People have to remember, this is theme park food, not a gourmet restaurant. We enjoyed this very much and will definitely be back.

I’m so grateful that Universal Studios designed The Leaky Cauldron and included it as part of their Harry Potter experience. Five stars for atmosphere! (If you get a chance, visit The Three Broomsticks in the other park, as it is even better!) The food selections are better than expected, considering that it’s in a theme park. The same is true of the pricing, which actually seems quite fair. There were a couple things that keep this from being a five star experience: In order to serve a large number of patrons efficiently, they’ve made some sacrifices in service. You have to order your food through the Universal app. There is no one to talk to about the food ahead of time, or make any adjustments for dietary needs. Then, you scan a barcode on your table in the app, and after your food is prepared, they will bring it to you. We had trouble getting the barcode to scan, which was frustrating. Eventually, it magically did. Note to management: there should be a back up plan where you can manually enter your table number if the scan doesn’t work. I ordered a longtime favorite - bangers and mash. It was the weirdest bangers and mash I’ve ever had. Far more German than British, it was topped with a huge glop of sauerkraut, which I hate (and I didn’t recall, seeing in the description). And the sausages are not typical English sausages, and are instead more like a bratwurst. After the initial disappointment, and scooping all the sauerkraut off of my precious meal, I tucked in. It grew on me after the initial shock wore off. It tasted fine, but could use some adjustments for authenticity and taste. The scotch eggs were surprisingly dry and bland. Also, the side salad was pretty sad. It was one step up from a pile of iceberg lettuce with a packet of dressing thrown on top. Not much to it. Overall, five star atmosphere, three star service (it’s a systemic problem, as the workers were all very polite), 3 1/2 star food. A few simple adjustments could make this absolutely a five star all-around establishment. I still highly recommend popping in for a visit just to see it, and even eating a meal.

Absolutely incredible theming of this restaurant (like most places within the Harry Potter areas of the park). The atmosphere is what you'll remember! We came here because we were told there was gluten-free options. The servers were extremely attentive to our allergy requests. We are not celiacs, but I would highly recommend this location to those who are due to the extreme precautions they took with our order. It meant a lot! I hope they'll add more gluten free options. The selection is very small (1-2 entree items from what I recall) but they seemed very passionate about ensuring everyone could eat there. There is a huge gluten sensitive and celiac community that would flock to this restaurant if they added more selection. It would be much appreciated for people with allergies, but also health conscious people who travel through the parks everyday. Lastly, as other reviews have mentioned ... The food is nothing special by any means. The atmosphere is what you pay for. Dietary restrictions: Great location for gluten-free eats! Staff was VERY attentive to our allergy needs. There isn't a big gluten free selection, but what they do have, they ensure it stays safe from cross contamination.

This was my 3rd time eating here in March 2022. The good and the bad of Leaky Cauldron. It is always a neat experience for Harry Potter fans to eat here. The food tastes good, but the portions are small and the prices are high. The waiters who brought out the food provided good service, and the worker who helped those waiting in line also was helpful. My main complaint was the service provided by the chatting teen cashiers. We waited for 10 minutes for the lady in front of us to get her 2 drinks. My friends and I were wondering what in the world took so long to get 2 drinks. Then when it was our turn, we found out. Our cashier filled up my cup of water and then set it down and began chatting with the other cashiers. She then carried it over and got distracted again and began chatting with another cashier. Keep in mind it is now 6:45PM, you are hungry and your feet are killing you after standing in lines all day long. The last thing you want to do is wait 5 minutes for a teen to stop chatting with people and get you your cup of water. The manager of this restaurant needs to retrain the teen cashiers. I know there is a shortage of workers, but you need to have some standards.

The atmosphere and theme is excellent. Somehow the food is delivered to the table separately from drinks. All the tables in our area received the food long before drinks arrived. Our drinks arrived as we were leaving and we took them with us.

As avid Harry Potter fans, our inaugural visit to the Leaky Cauldron was filled with excitement, despite the approximately 25-minute wait for our party of three. The interior ambiance lived up to our expectations, with its captivating design. However, it’s important to note that dining within an amusement park comes with a certain price tag, and the Leaky Cauldron is no exception. While the presentation of the food was visually appealing, the taste did not quite match the expense. Additionally, the service was somewhat lacking due to the high volume of patrons. I recommend dining at the Leaky Cauldron primarily for the immersive atmosphere, rather than expecting exceptional culinary delights or top-notch service.
