Rick Bayless or whoever is running the kitchen, or the whole operation, and I understand that cost is important for the business, and they want the most revenue as possible, but, serving pieces of meat with fries, and a very tiny fish with fries for restaurant week. Creativity can be use a bit more, just a scoop of sorbet with pieces of quince paste from the can. We have been checking “top” restaurants for restaurant week and see what they are offering, see the value, see the creativity, ($59) isn’t bad at all, but to serve that, come on, service was bad too, on top of all tha, they messed up our order, we had to wait awhile to get fix, not just that, also, they make the customers pay the credit card fee,for the POS system, that’s not good either.
Had the short rib and the food not super tasteful which is a bit disappointing for a Mexican place. The short rib looks a lot better than it tastes, but there really good options and variety throughout the menu. Best things on the menu are the empanadas and probably something from the steak selection.
Everything was GREAT! Oysters delicious! Guacamole amazing! Mezcal for days! Recommend trying the flights, mezcal old fashioned Can't say enough about each dish that we had.. can't forget to add in house made beer.
