My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at LeSucculent and would highly recommend it for good food, wine, service and ambience. My husband’s fish was fresh and delicious, while my pork chop which came with potatoes and baked veggies was delicious. You will not be disappointed!

Such a wonderful gem! Food was full of flavor and the ambiance was romantic but approachable. There was no rush to leave so you could spend the time to enjoy your company and the food.

After looking forward to trying this spot for months based on the excellent reviews, my partner and I were turned away for ordering one instead of two plates of food. We were told by the owner “this isn’t fast food” and that it was “not worth it” for he and his wife to serve us a single plate, because (in an empty restaurant) we were taking up the space of two people but ordering one dish. I have lived in the neighborhood for years as well as dined around the world with some of the best and most respectable chefs and restauranteurs and have NEVER once felt compelled to write a bad review until now. I tried my best to speak to the owner and his wife to come to some sort of human understanding about why they refused service and despite explaining calmly that we had small appetites and simply wanted to share a dish in hopes of returning for more in the future, was only given the same explanation. We were simply not hungry enough to order more, and there was no disclaimer on the menu that every guest needed to order a single dish to obtain service. I unfortunately left having entirely lost my appetite which is the worst impression of a restaurant I can imagine. I am incredibly sad to say I will never return, nor recommend this “soul food” to another soul. There are better and far more hospitable ways to spend your money in Brooklyn.

I had dinner with a friend. We both had appetizers and an entree. Our purpose of visiting was to scope out the place to see if it would be a good place to host a brunch. I checked out the brunch menu and it looked good but needed to see the size of the place and try the food. I asked the owner about hosting brunch there but he didn’t speak or understand English well. Well as far as food goes, it was just okay. The bread on top of soup was a bit burnt. The fish cakes were too spicy. The salmon burger was a bit salty. The do not serve ketchup at all due to high sugar content. I tried to explain to owner that their menu is carb heavy and that turns to sugar in your body but the language barrier prevented him from understanding.
