The best restaurant in Chicago! Incredible French food, charming environment and wonderful service. Alain knows how to make everyone feel welcome and at home in his restaurant.

Traditional French in a cozy atmosphere. The owner, Alain, is a sweetheart to say the least. The menu of traditional French favorites never fails nor does the wine selection. The owner never allows us to tip. Instead, he simply asks we leave something for his staff.

Made a reservation for 4 people. Called many times to add an extra person. No one picks up. Left a message about this and requested for a call back. No one got back. When we went, the owner was very rude. He told us to wait to set the table up, only to say 30 minutes later he can’t accommodate us. He also implied that we can’t afford his food. A very rude and racist man!!

Love this quaint little French restaurant. Food is always delicious, and the owner/chef/server Alain is a gem. He truly does it all, so just plan to enjoy yourself.

Le Petit Paris, without question, is my favorite restaurant in Chicago. Alain is an extremely talented chef, so whatever choices you make from the menu are guaranteed to be exemplary. When you dine here it's an absolute must to order something from each course. This is a traditional European restaurant, where one sits with company and enjoys conversation during the meal. Enjoy your food, enjoy your company, enjoy your host. Alain welcomes everyone in as if it were his home, his passion for hospitality and good food makes Le Petit Paris the best kept secret in Chicago. If you're looking to get a break from the rush rush rush, me me me lifestyle, this is the place to go.

Great food at reasonable cost.

Unilaterally he canceled our reservation without telling us. He said we are bad people and threw us out of the restaurant. He said he doesn't want people like us. We won't be going back for sure! He is probably a good cook, but we cannot put up with that NASTY, BIZARRE attitude.

Absolutely one of the best kept secrets in Chicago! And you can't beat the price for the quality of food you're getting! I highly recommend the escargot and the Duck. Also, if lamb is on the menu, very good! And don't forget French onion soup, the best I've ever had.
