Le Loup

Usually Le Loup hits some incredible highs and after numerous visits last night was the poorest experience I've had at Le Loup by a mile. I don't know what happened but after sitting down, our order was taken for some Oysters and a couple of cocktails. 1. A check came out before our drinks or oysters had been served. 2. One of the drinks was the wrong drink, and our water was taken away wrongly (albeit replaced) 3. The oysters hadn't arrived 45 minutes later 4. Fair play, the server organized a free hamachi yellowtail for us due to the wait on Oysters. 5. Nearly 2 hours after sitting down, our 6 oysters finally came out. We had to rush them for parking reasons. I don't know what happened, but the server mentioned that they had a new 20 year old in the kitchen as the main person last night. Not sure we need to know that, but Le Loup didn't hit it's usual highs. Such a shame and I hope they get back to 100% as it's usually a 5* location.

Great ambiance and amazing bar service!

This was the second time I have been to Le Loup. The first time was great and even this time was good as far as the drinks and service goes.. but the bar filled was filled with smoke from the fireplace and ruined me enjoying my drink. I was getting a headache from the smoke and we rushed out because it was suffocating. I am annoyed that I have to go home and wash my clothes and hair after a date night out, when I had just spent an hour washing and styling my hair before. I’m not sure what is wrong with their fireplace and why it fills the building with smog. I’ve never seen a fireplace smoke and stink so bad. It really ruined the ambiance of the night.

Great drinks and vibes! Unfortunately, the hostess seemed disorganized. Despite half the restaurant being empty, we waited over 35 minutes to be seated. The bartender's pace was also really slow; it took nearly 50 minutes from entering the bar to get our first drink. 2 drinks after tip is roughly $50 so they have to clean this up for that price point. Hopefully, they improve their efficiency, as it was fantastic on my first visit!

This is not a speakeasy. Whoever decided to call it that has never been to a real speakeasy (I get it, none of us are THAT old), or a place that mimics a speakeasy well (they do exist and this place ain’t it). I can’t honestly rate the food or beverages. The host shamed us for taking a seat when “ummm excuse me, this is not a walk up bar” which wasn’t made very clear until she came over with her dissatisfied tone. We scanned the room, saw an open seat at the bar, and took it. In the 10 minutes we sat there, the bartender made eye contact and could have simply said, “hey, I know there wasn’t a host stand where you walked in, but there is one over there and unfortunately, I think there is a waitlist” or SOMETHING sending us in the right direction. Just really unfortunate. We would have put our name on the waitlist if she hadn’t made us feel like a couple of morons inconveniencing her, but that’s ok. We probably saved a few hundred bucks and plenty of sad calories on what would have surely been a mediocre experience in the loudest “speakeasy” I’ve ever been in. Definitely much better speakeasy bars in town where you don’t have to pay $30 for parking just to be made to feel like a jerk.

Visited Le Loup with the family while celebrating Christmas. Valentino and the whole staff was very polite, accommodating, and made our whole experience amazing. Truly can’t recommend it enough. Try the Clapless Bell, you won’t be disappointed.

Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was perfect. This is a great place to come to for date night or girls night. I had never tried oysters until Le Loup and they changed my mind on them. I definitely would come back!

Good food, great service. The bartender Nick was so amazing. I asked him a question about my meal and he promptly fixed my problem and I didn’t even ask him to.
