First time here and we were very impressed! The trout is a top 10 dish in Chicago. Had a Duck Liver Mousse Beignet that might’ve been the best thing I had all night. Cocktails were great, hefty wine pour, and the atmosphere fun. Quite loud but it’s a great vibe. Will be back 100%

So disappointing! Service: the waiter only let my husband try the wine but didn’t pour it in my glass. Discrimination maybe? Food: The strawberry jam& Chicken liver bignet tastes like vomit, literally; kale salad was such a gross combination- cheese stinks and there was so little kale, not to mention the pickled pear and the cheese together tasted like another kind of vomit. What’s the obsession with vomit flavor?! Rabbit dish was so freaking sandy! Why there was sand in it?! Trout is the only dish that’s okay, escargot is just mediocre I have had better ones somewhere else. Atmosphere: Super super crowded, can’t even have a convo without raising my voice. After all it’s a ‘bistro’ with upscale price. If you are gonna charge that much at least get the food right. Yikes

Best french bistro in Chicago. Still the best soupe a l'oignon, moules, escargot, paté en croute, cassoulet. Also has a refreshing prickly pear sorbet.

We made a reservation for our anniversary. We were seated right away. It is a very small space but I expected it after reading other reviews. Still comfortable if you make a reservation! The food was great! We started with the French Onion soup, the frog legs and the Ox tail for 2. Every bit of food was delicious! It is definitely enough food for two, and we had left overs. The service was a bit lacking. We wanted the Creme Brulee for dessert, our waitress informed us that they were out but they had creme brulee ice cream. She didn't even give us a chance to say no and just assumed we wanted it. Which I didn't. When we had questions about the food she just assumed we weren't ready to order and would leave. Overall, we will be back because the food was good and we would love to try the duck plate.

Just found out my mentor, the legendary figure who taught me everything I know, is the one behind the sinister plot i’ve been unraveling Kid-friendliness: didn’t have any but i don’t think they would have kicked the poor kids out on the cold wet ground

The vibe is a bit foo foo for me but the food is good enough that I put up with it
