Abby is the best! Layali Beirut is my favourite place on Steinway. No one can beat their shisha, lemon mint, and hummus with meat. Plus, free wifi! Best place to relax and work.
The hookah flavors at this establishment are truly exceptional, complemented by comfortable seating arrangements that enhance the overall experience. The diverse array of appetizers provides ample options to satisfy various preferences, while the main dishes further contribute to the culinary delight offered. One notable aspect is the exemplary hospitality demonstrated by the staff. They go above and beyond by frequently inquiring about the patrons, ensuring a personalized and attentive service. This thoughtful approach creates a welcoming atmosphere, making visitors feel valued and enhancing the overall dining and hookah-smoking experience.
I was iffy at first coming here. But I gave it a shot anyway. The hookahs were good and the guy who made and served the hookahs was very nice. The hookahs were tasteful and greatly priced. Took us a little while to order because they only had 1 waitress. And the poor lady was on break so we didn’t want to interrupt. After ordering it took us a good 45 minutes to receive the entrees. Which wasn’t all that. I had the falafel sandwich with fries (dry). And my guests had the combo plate with meats and rice. Lamb chops were super small and was mostly fat on there. Bill was kind of high considering the size of the entrees. It is wheel chair accessible and kid friendly for the most part. The environment inside was clean & middle eastern themed which was pretty cool. Different than the rest of spots on the block.
The food here id always good. I like the way they grill their meats. A nice charcoal flavor is always present. The grilled vegetables and taheni sauce on the side were perfectly complimentary to the meats. The hookah was fresh and tasted pretty good.
