Lawrence's Fish & Shrimp

When I entered the establishment, behind the counter was a woman preparing food in her street coat and a rag wrapped around her head. Then a kind gentle took my order. I asked was it like canal street, he assured me it was. And when I received my order from a young man who came from the back. He appeared as if he was a zombie, uninterested and out of it, if u know what I mean. Got the food home was so excited and thought it was really gonna be canal street style as I was told. What a joke! It was awful. Made me sick to my stomach. First and last time ordering from this place!

I had a HAIR in my shrimp, the shrimp taste really fishy. i only gave one star cause the onion rings and fries were pretty good.

Absolutely delicious seafood. Bit pricey however the taste is outstanding! Come see for yourself you will be glad you did.

This place here says lightly floured, but it isn’t… it’s fried hard and not tender on the inside. It comes floured . It’s not floured when you order. Ludicrous! Over-rated!!! Wheelchair accessibility: No

The fish n' chips and lightly breaded shrimp are always good when I go to Lawrence's Fish & Shrimp. The staff were very attentive and helpful! I wish they would open one in Rockford. LAWRENCE'S FISH & CHIPS WOULD ABSOLUTELY KILL OUT HERE THERE ISN'T ANY FISH OUT HERE LIKE LAWRENCE'S!!! BELIEVE IT!!!

I have been a fan and customer of the original location today after a little shopping I decided to try the one in Olympia Fields. The service was great very helpful and kind. Once I got home and tasted the shrimp I thought not bad but not Canal Street. I bit down on the whitefish chips and immediately became angered. They were overcooked and extremely hard. I didn't bothered to call or take them back because I should have know better. Yes it's Lawrence's in name but the tast and quality simply trash. Whitefish should be flakey not hard all the way thru.
