Came here for breakfast after searching for a good soul food spot for breakfast. Don’t let the reviews fool you or you’ll miss out on a neighborhood gem. The service was impeccable and food was AMAZING, everything I needed and more. Atmosphere feels like home. We will be back again, so glad we came in!

The waitress Ms. M. very pleasant, courteous, and respectful. The chef Mr. R. very courteous, and can cook; I’m returning soon. Great vibes. Happy Early Birthday, Ms. M. Prayers for the cook and the entire establishment… Thanks, Royal :) Parking: There was parking accessible when I arrived.

Definitely stop in if you like southern cooking! Everything was perfect, except I didn’t see no ghosts! I had the catfish with mashed and sweet potatoes and my friend had the meatloaf. My fish was cooked perfectly! I asked for tartar sauce—didn’t use it the breading was so flavorful. And the meatloaf was double backed with a sweet tomato sauce, it was perfect as well. And the price was very reasonable—‘soul’ or ‘southern’ cooking can be so expensive because every last thing is made from scratch,, but it was very easy on the wallet w no compromise on quality. The waitress was a sweetheart; the decor could use an update, but it’s clean, just dark. We’ll be back

This is one of my new favorite places to order from. The cornbeard was warm, fluffy, buttery, and fresh. The bacon mac and cheese was gift sent from the heavens. The smothered chicken, yams, and mashed potatoes sent me into a food coma I couldnt rise from for 4 hours. This is a legit treat-yo-self restaurant. Cant wait to have more!

Honest review! Today, 2/13/24. I went there approximately 1:43pm. Sat there for 22mins. Asked to use the restroom, got the key. Came back out an asked when am I going to be served?? Ms Moonie said “oh, we about to close in 10 mins . I responded with you looked me in my face an left me sitting there!??? Her response was “oh i thought you were being helped”!!! I never received a menu!! I never had this problem with the other waitress, I haven’t seen her in awhile! I left the diner and called back because Ms Moonie took it lightly with just “Sorry”. I spend money there! Uber, takeout,and dine in. Called back and Ms Moonie informed me she’s the manager!! Employees can ruin a GREAT establishment!! Food is great. The Owner needs to post a dedicated number somewhere within the diner-for patrons that walk in and have a Bad customer experience!
