Lanzhou Hand Pull Noodle

***LOST MY BUSINESS !** Ive been a frequent customer to this shop ever since 2020. I used to eat here sometimes twice a week. I’ve easily spent over $1400 during the span of 4 years eating the majority of the same thing; shrimp fried rice. Today however, the lady at the front desk doesnt give me my chili oil and tries to give me a partially refunded check. SMH in the span of 15 minutes BAD CUSTOMER service has destroyed our relationship. Now I will go to AsianNine across the street for a quality Basil Shrimp fried rice from now on.

Was highly recommended to try Lanzhou by a friend of mine and it was fantastic. On a cold day, a good savory bowl of noodle soup will always hit the spot. The Food: I went with the "Beef Brisket Noodle Soup". The beef was super tender and flavorful and the noodles were made/cooked to perfection. You can see them actually hand pull your noodles in the open kitchen they have. The broth was very tasteful as well, full of beef broth flavor and the portions for each bowl was pretty huge. The Service: Service was good! Staff were friendly and welcoming. You can order either online or they have two kiosks where you can browse the menu and order from. Then they'll bring your dishes out to your table. The Atmosphere: Nice and decently sized restaurant. Place is well lit and clean. With an open kitchen, you can smell how good it is in there with all the food being prepared. Overall, a 5/5! Food is absolutely delicious! Highly recommend Lanzhou Hand Pull Noodle.

Like others have mentioned, I’m not sure what has happened but the quality of the food has declined dramatically. This use to be my go to for years but I’m not sure what happened after the redesign. The noodles don’t taste fresh like they use to. The broth isn’t as good. I really hope they can get it back on track soon.

I have never been to a place like this. Was with friends climbing at the nearby rock climbing gym and we decided to go for noodles after, based on a recommendation (OK, a demand) of one of my friends. She had to explain to me (I'm just very American) what the various options meant (e.g. knife-sliced vs. hand-pulled noodles). I got a simple chicken-and-something noodle bowl. And it was delicious!! Came out in just a few minutes, and it was as fresh as can be. While eating and chatting I watched one of the workers behind the counter pulling the noodle dough and kneading it. That was cool and added to the 'ambiance'. Small place but pretty busy. This is right in the heart of the Rio mall (?? is it a mall ??), so a lot of walking traffic and looked like a lot of passers-by coming in at the spur of the moment. But seemed to be pretty popular as well. When I'm next in the Rio area I'll definitely be heading back here. I'll just have to figure out what all of the food options mean without my friend to help.

This was my first time here at the recommendation of a friend. Went a little conservative, dumpling and shrimp soup. The broth was spectacular, full of flavour, delicate, but not thin, complex and balanced. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. The only knock is that some of the the shrimp wasn’t properly deveined. I will definitely come back when I am in the neighbourhood.
