This place has gone viral exclusively for how the croissants look as others have said. The croissants themselves are very dense and much drier than I expected. Unfortunately had poor customer service to boot after they messed up my preorder pretty significantly- I had hoped at least would be worth the hassle but genuinely they were just very okay. Not worth going and won’t return.

Lakon Paris Patisserie had been on my list, and I happened to come across it on my way home one day and decided to drop in. This was the day of the huge downpour over the summer. Luckily I missed it by just a few moments, but I guess the gloomy skies deterred people, and I was able to order right away instead of having to wait in the long lines that I've read about. I got the strawberry, matcha, and chocolate cube croissants and the passionfruit macaron. This was in the afternoon, so the pastries were not fresh anymore and quite hard (except for the macaron, which was my favorite of the four but not the best macaron that I've had). I understand that pastries will be best straight out of the oven, but the texture could have been overlooked had the fillings/frostings been good, but, unfortunately, I was disappointed by them as well. Neither the strawberry nor the matcha packed much of a punch. I did like the chocolate balls on the chocolate cube croissant, though. I would be willing to give Lakon another shot to see if the pastries live up to the hype if I were to go at opening.

Well made, colorful, tasty food, but very expensive, I wish there is dine in option.

I was really excited about this place. It looks so good online. But the scone wasn’t anything exciting. I loved the little candied orange peel (not featured because it fell off in the bag)

It is almost impossible for this place to meet the hype I had heard. They blew it out of the water. Went on a cold January Saturday morning, no line. Bought 8 croissants and a coffee. It’s pricey I agree but they lasted 2 mornings. Coffee was easily worst item The savory pastries were solid, turkey/pesto much better than ham/cheese, the latter lacking enough ham or cheese The sweet croissants are outrageous. We got all the ones with chocolate. The tiramisu was amazing, the almond covered pan suisse even better. The cube with chocolate hazelnut filling was 6/5 stars, next level god tier dessert. Overall it is expensive, but def worth going. I will certainly be back

Our first time and we will return. We purchased the pear danish. The pastry was so flaky and crisp. Generous filling. And we found parking right out front!

Newly expended from Newton to Brookline!! Absolutely amazing selection. The NY roll, pistachio financier, and kouign amann are amazing! A must try for viennoiserie and baked good lovers.
