We just had the most delightful meal here. We were looking for an unpretentious French hole in the wall with just damn good food, and La Sirene did not disappoint. This place reminds me of the neighborhood bistros I went to when I lived in Toulouse, and I was absolutely gobsmacked by the food. It was like being in your French grandmother or grandfathers home, where it’s the most perfect, comforting, delicious food that you just can’t seem to replicate at your own home. I had the onion soupe, lapin and ile flottante, while the husband had the escargot and hanger steak with croquembouche for dessert. Scrumptious, perfectly executed and highly recommend!!!
La Sirene is such a cute/cozy neighborhood French restaurant in Tribeca. price can be a bit expensive compare to others (especially for escargot), but service was very attentive and food was delicious. My husband and I ordered a few glasses of house sparkling wine, white wine and red wine plus escargot (6 for $24.5), lamb chops, filet mignon with foie gras and banana brulee. we ordered filet mignon as medium rare, but it came as rare.. and we realized other tables got theirs rare as well lol. but it was tender and juicy. whatever. For dessert, we finished off with a banana brulee and it was cold on top. I definitely think people should add this restaurant to their bookmark and check it out.
Had the most memorable experience here. Let them know in reservation we were celebrating a birthday and they went out of the way. Food was some of the best we’ve had, the owner was beyond attentive. Please go here! Deserves 1000 stars! Had the best experience, food, service, wonderful!! Thank you!!
DO NOT GO HERE. They don’t accept visa cards. And they ask me first if I have WeChat just by seeing my Asian or Chinese face. I think they have commercial with an famous Chinese App called the RED. Because it is all over the good views about this restaurant in the Red. The quality for the steak is not good. And the waitress were just talking and staring at me. The waitress wearing their own clothes and they don’t have uniforms on for a price like this. And the waitress seemed like doesn’t like the tip I gave. And the restroom was so tiny and smells like a random restroom on the street. 金玉其表,败絮其中。
Fabulous experience during a solo dinner at La Siréne. French Onion Soup was amazing and the escargot was the best I’ve ever had. The dessert, a puff pastry filled with maple cream and topped with strands of caramel was to die for. Cozy, charming ambiance with top notch service as well.
Amazing place! Great food. Wonderful owner that cares about his place so deeply!
I’m going to have to run 400kms to burn off that cassoulet but it was worth it! Pate also rustic and delicious. Team were lovely. An early solo dinner where I was made to feel very welcome and now need to change into stretchy pants.
For NYC this place is a bargain. A $95 pre-fixe Valentines Day dinner is a steal. The Foie Gras is delicate, subtle, extremely well done. I have no idea how they make pureed carrots so damn good. The mains and dessert are well prepared and the coffee americano is perfect.
