Horrible service and terrible attitude
The pasta was very one of a kind taste, very delicious, fettuccine Alfredo was off the hook thank you for this experience, Will definitely be ordering again
This is a classic old Bev Hills Italian restaurant (think red leather booths), bar in the back, white table cloths. Warm, inviting and with some killer favorites! Think spaghetti bolognese & chopped Italian salad! Extensive wine list, fabulous menu and all prepared to perfection. It's an iconic place. I love it. But, disappointed we were overcharged on the bill, (they corrected it) and though I told them we were there to celebrate our birthdays, no one offered us a token dessert, or treated it as special occasion. It was a shame. We went on a cold and rainy day. Oh, well. You're sure to enjoy the food!!! and it's a popular place. No reservations at lunchtime. Prices $$+
Don't get me wrong -- I love the La Scala food. Truly, I enjoy their dishes but this one-star review is because of their unaccommodating and unreasonable staff. I came in today with my 85-year-old grandfather; my grandmother had dropped him off curbside due to him being unable to walk. They refused to seat us - even though the restaurant was EMPTY--because we were not a complete party. Need I again mention that he is handicapped and obviously elderly. I was stunned by this. We went down the street to Porta via and had ourselves a lovely lunch. Now I know why the place is always empty!!
Great atmosphere, and reasonable prices
The food quality excellent, atmosphere dark, but nice, no service at all. We were sat at a table and then waited for 6 minutes before anyone acknowledged that we were there. It never got any better.
We are outside and the chopped salad was outstanding.
