La Sandia

A group of girlfriends and I came to this restaurant as part of a GNO with a movie and dinner on 9/17. Our experience with the food and administrative staff was horrible. Two of us ordered a salad that was missing several ingredients. Other ladies did not receive at least one ingredient in their food. When we pointed this out to the waiter, she came back with the General Manager who proceeded to address us by saying “since you decided to pick through the menu to see what was missing, here is your bacon, and cheese”. The issue was that regardless of the bacon and cheese the salad was still missing two ingredients, mind you. Then he continued saying that he did not have the fault that the kitchen staff was not preparing the food correctly. We had to inform him that we were the customers, and if we looked at the menu and ordered an item, we wanted our food as described on the menu, and that his comment was offensive. His attitude was rude and unapologetic. It seems to us as if he was mad that we brought this to their attention and as if we did not deserve to complain that our food was not prepared correctly. We were disgusted by this and wished we had chosen to eat at Zen instead. Given that the food for the most part was tasteless. We read that this restaurant is closing soon, I hope that if they reopen at another location, that they can secure a more professional staff. Or at the least train the staff they already have better. I will not return to this restaurant here or at any place or location they will open in the future. We are disgusted!

I hadn't been to La Sandia since the pandemic but used to be a frequent customer. Sad to say the service has gone downhill. It took close to 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order and the bartender only came over after I requested someone to the hostess. I was there to celebrate my mentee's 21st birthday with her. I let the server know when he came to take our order. We weren't offered anything (free drink, dessert etc) to celebrate this big milestone. It was a bit disappointing. We had to track down our server for any needs we had (box for leftovers, check, additional water etc.) Very disappointing experience.

Best shrimp enchiladas and micheladas EVER!! Try their micheladas with pacifico beer. Their food, drinks, and service is great! Atmosphere is family friendly.

It's too bad they're closing up at the end of the month because that was some great food! Really nice inside as well!

It was gone first time wanted to try it it was open on Friday and over the weekend they closed down

I was looking for more traditional Mexican food. What I received tasted good, but too Americanized for me

This place has amazing tacos and enchiladas. I am so sad it is closing its doors. We went in around 3pm on Saturday and was told there wasn't a cook so we could only order drinks and chips and guac. This was really inconvenient as we drove out of our way to go eat here. Super disappointed as this was a great place.

Best cheese enchiladas I’ve ever had, so sad this place is permanently closed but awesome times at this location.
