La Playita

It’s so nice to see the old Pepe’s back in action as LaPlayita. The place was packed, but we didn’t have to wait long. The drinks were great, the food was great, the and the service was wonderful! We met the owner, Jerry, as we were leaving and he was so sweet! He has done an amazing job sprucing the place up! Highly recommend!

I ordered a steak burrito (not a dinner but just a burrito) and a diet coke, my bill was $26.00. The Salsa did not come with the chips as you would expect upon arrival, I had to ask. Then I noticed a charge of $2.99 for the Salsa on my bill which I thought to be very unusual, and the carrots I ordered extra were about the same price range. The bottom line $$$ is a bit high considering all the other Mexican restaurants in the area that have good food with lower pricing.

I ordered a chile relleno w/ avocado burrito and a can of diet coke $20. Not worth the money. Taco Bell's burrito taste better. Too bad El Famous didn't move in there, now they have great burritos at a much better price.

$15 for 2 tacos and a bag of carrots is absolutely dystopian. 2 stars instead of 1 because the service was friendly and the food tasted good.

Way overpriced. $50 for 3 sandwiches is god damn nuts. Never again.

Great food, Staff was more than attentive.

Jumbo margherita did not have any more tequila than a regular size.

I got the steak taco dinner with double rice. The tacos were EXCELLENT! The steak was cooked great and my tortillas were very warm and sturdy. It was just overall such a good taste they were nice, juicy and delicious. As for the rice, it was kinda dry almost tasted like cardboard SLIGHTLY! Other than that very good.

The place is clean but when it comes to food, it wasn’t the best. Most of the food is overpriced but only good thing was the Horchata (Rice Water).
