La Pinata bakery offers an exquisite selection of treats, with their Tres Leches cake being a personal favorite. The delightful combination of flan and feta empanadas is a must try, making this bakery a true gem.

I’m giving a 2 stars and not because I don’t like it but because the prices are so high . Today January 7th 2024 went to get a rosca de Reyes thinking they will have it half off sense we usually cut it the 6th but wen I went they had rosca de Reyes all over and the price for a small one was $$60 I’m like what in the earth and let’s not say the big one is $$130 I’m sorry but that’s so over price I have to say I walk out just with conchas and pay $13.00 idk why you guys have so overpriced the rosca de Reyes . Hopefully you guys read this and change the price and I will change my review. Other than that your conchas are so good and soft and my kids love your cakes . I Oder there bday cakes from la Piña bakery every year and I have to say even the cake is little pricey but I buy it because my girls love it and is there birthdays . Andy ways hope you all have a wonderful year.

I was there a Saturday morning and there was only one person working there. When I arrived it was just me and another person ordering. Then it was getting busy because the orders were large per order. Will need to go again to try their other items. I bought their Mexican hot chocolate, horchata iced and two empanadas; the green salsa and molé sauce. Empanadas were okay and mild for their spicy flavor. The Mexican hot chocolate was very good! Iced Horchata tasted like it had a shot of coffee; I’m not a fan of that type of coffee. Parking: It’s located on a strip so the parking is limited.

Hey Pinata Bakery, my pan de muerto was undercooked!! My son and I got SICK. Before you respond, why we ate it? Well, at the beginning, it was just fine. Anyway, since I'm writing a review, this purchase was my second time. My first time was a little better, I bought cookies and pan de Muerto (last year). The bread was delicious. I ordered a hot chocolate, too, but you guys just served me half of the cup. I noticed when I was on my way home Sincerely, I consider your prices are too high. If I came back, it was because the bread was tasty, but after getting sick this time , I will find more options.

Worst cafe de olla I’ve ever had. It tasted like they it had no coffee in it. Wasted a trip and money and was home by the time I tasted it. Threw it in the trash. The pan was ok though.

La Piñata Bakery is a hidden gem. I was on foot, waiting for my car to get fixed at the Lincolnwood Toyota and ventured out for a spot of brunch and iced coffee. Saw the Colectivo coffee sign next to the NY Bagel shop I’ve visited in the past and dove into what seemed like an inconspicuous looking La Piñata Bakery for a less chaotic experience where i could possibly have a quick seat to have my coffee. Once inside, i was struck by how lovingly everything was put together and it reflected in the way my food and drink tasted. Service was hospitable and friendly (thanks, Maya!). I got an extra large iced coffee w oat milk and a couple of pumps of hazelnut and a spinach & feta empanada. Both Delicious and hearty. I could have easily put away 2 of those empanadas because they are scrumptious, buttery and fresh. Also, the decor is minimal yet hits the mark-The Frida Kahlo mural in the entrance gets extra points for being able to fit in such a small space. Compliments to the chef, owners and staff for keeping this place thriving. Ill have to swing through to try those churros and croissants next.

Terrible Experience - Rude and Disrespectful Manager Today, September the 2nd 2023, I had the unfortunate experience of visiting La Piñata Bakery, 4708 Touhy Avenue, on Lincolnwood, and I must say it was the worst bakery I have ever encountered in Chicagoland. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this place lacked any sense of customer service or basic decency. First and foremost, the manager's behavior was absolutely appalling. Not only was he rude, but he also displayed a complete lack of respect towards customers. It's as if he had forgotten that we were the ones keeping his business afloat. His condescending tone and dismissive attitude left a sour taste in my mouth, and I couldn't help but feel unwelcome. Furthermore, the quality of the baked goods was abysmal. The pastries were stale and tasted like they had been sitting out for days. I ordered a tres leches Birthday cake, it was evident that no care or attention had been put into their preparation. The lack of freshness and flavor was truly disappointing, especially considering the reputation this bakery supposedly holds, the cake was leaking all the way home. I had hoped to find a hidden gem in La Piñata, but instead, I found a nightmare. The combination of the manager's rude behavior, the subpar quality of the baked goods, and the lack of cleanliness made for an incredibly unpleasant experience. I would strongly advise anyone considering visiting this bakery to think twice and explore other options in the area. In conclusion, La Piñata on Touhy Avenue is undoubtedly the worst bakery in Chicagoland. The manager's rude and disrespectful attitude, coupled with the poor quality of their baked goods and lack of cleanliness, make this place a complete disappointment. Save yourself the trouble and find a bakery that values its customers and takes pride in its products.

I love this bakery. I stop in a couple times a week because I crave the conchas! They’re so pillowy and soft. They also make a great matcha latte, actually has a good kick of matcha flavor. Everything I’ve tried, from the empanadas to the butter cookies, has been delicious. Nothing is ever dried out, always fresh and soft! And the young lady who always helps me at the counter is very nice. :)

I ordered a tres leches cake for an anniversary party, and it was incredible!! The cake was the hit of the party, and it transported well, too! The customer service at the bakery was also excellent. I will definitely be coming back!
